"Stayed on the last night before closure for refurbishment. Staff were extremely friendly and even went out of the hotel to get me gluten free cereal and bread for breakfast as they had run out. Can't wait to see what changes occur in the proposed two year closure."

This is a very nice Inn. Nice large beds, clean rooms and bathrooms. Nice food too, and lovely outside seating areas too. Staff all very friendly and helpful - many thanks to Taylor and her colleagues, we had a great stay.

We spent two very comfortable nights with a modern room and bath, nice breakfasts, and one nice dinner. The inn is in a tiny village with a picturesque ruined castle and church nearby, close to Stourhead and Longleat.

The property was gorgeous with a onsite fabulous restaurant full of locals. You know its good when all the locals are there. Every person was warm and inviting. Every one we met made us feel like family.

I spent two nights at the Hollies in early August. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food (dinner and full English breakfast) were excellent (although no food is served on Tuesday evening, but there are nearby options available). London Pride on draft.
The pub itself does not open until 5, but you can check in after 3 PM. Room 4 was very spacious with a surprisingly large bathroom.

The host cpuld not have been more delightful and accommodating- Melanie was charming and quite personable. The rooms were so unique and comfortable. The experience was more a bed and breakfast than a hotel.

We love historic places to stay at. The George fit that perfectly. The room was full of charm and character. Modern it is not, but we knew this going in and we expected what they delivered.
The restaurant serves delicious food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We would absolutely stay there again given the chance. Thank you, The George Inn, we had a wonderful w

The staff are lovely, and the property and gardens are beautiful (although they’re not quite as new or updated as the photos make it seem). It’s more of a charming quiet calm hotel in the countryside. My only issue was that the carpet had tons of large stains on it, which was rather gross and I’d expect a hotel to have a vacuum cleaner that can take stains out of the carpet. My second issue was there was no chair or desk in the room. I didn’t care that the tv only had 4 channels- all the other...
