Briar Barn Inn

Briar Barn Inn

10/10 Excellent
"We just stayed here last week for 4 days in the King Suite and it was absolutely wonderful. The room had a lovely living room with a fireplace with its own separate bedroom with the king size bed. The bathroom had a separate shower and a beautiful, lovely soaking tub which I took great advantage of. The bathrobe and slippers are a lovely touch so that you don’t have to take up precious suitcase. Space with a robe. The grounds are lovely, very well maintained. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. The Nespresso machines are a wonderful addition, as was the Tea station. Although I would have liked a tea kettle in the room, but to be honest, going to the lobby, wasn’t that big of a deal. The breakfast is a very lite breakfast, but it’s enough to help you start your day. I do wish that the Grove was available for breakfast, even if there was a charge. We are somebody that likes a good hearty breakfast to start our day trips to several places so that would be nice if the Grove was offered for a nice hot breakfast. We did not have time to visit the spa, but it looked lovely. The location is fantastic. You are very close to the train station and we took several day-trips into Salem, which was only 25 minutes away and then another day. Boston was only 35 minutes away, so that’s very convenient that you don’t have to drive into these cities and hassle with parking. I highly recommend The Briar Barn Inn. It is a beautiful, very centrally located. Lovely boutique hotel."

Great Space to be Together and Spread out

10/10 Excellent
"A very spacious comfortable apartment. Plenty of room. Stairs are a little steep so not handicap friendly and can never be. Route 1A is a little busy especially for the morning commute but neighborhood seems safe and there is a lovely yard. If you want to lock the outside door you have to use the key. Any needs or wants are addressed immediately Not that there were many."

Charming Ipswich 1BR + Bonus Room | Sleeps 4

10/10 Excellent
"We had the most amazing time in Ipswich! The apartment is so modern and clean. The kitchen is more than well stocked. Beautiful dishes and bar ware. There is a toaster, microwave and air fryer along with an oven! A drawer full of spices and coffee area. Everything you’ll need to cook. There is plenty of space to eat in the kitchen. The sleeping spaces are comfortable with soft bedding and comfortable pillows. The king room has a door and closet as well as a chest of drawers for clothing. The space with the 2 twin beds has no door, but a privacy screen is thoughtfully provided. There is also a desk and a large chest of drawers for clothing. The bathroom is well stocked with soft towels and there is a bathtub! The neighborhood is quiet and felt very safe. We were very comfortable in this space! The apartment is within walking distance to the commuter rail and the most adorable downtown area. There are many restaurants and cafes to choose from if you don’t want to take advantage of the well stocked kitchen.Communication with Ahmad was clear and very prompt. Checkout was fast and easy. Ipswich is a place you need to visit and this apartment is the place to stay!!"

"I found Ahmad’s place the day of our trip and booked just hours before arriving, and it truly couldn’t have worked out better. Ahmad was super responsive and very accommodating, and communicated with us throughout. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The apartment was awesome. Very clean, organized, well-stocked, and the perfect setup for our stay. It’s in a nice, quiet neighborhood, yet within minutes of everything in town, with the train station right at the end of the road and parking on premises. The location was perfect for us and very central to Salem, Rockport, Newburyport, and so many of the places we love to frequent in the area.We enjoyed it so much that I already tried to book again for a few weeks from now, but unfortunately he’s already booked! We’re really looking forward to staying here again in the future. Thanks so much, Ahmad!"
