"Lovely views of Loch Awe. The driver wasn’t so happy about the long single track road but the other two enjoyed the solitude and quiet at the end of the road. Rooms are comfortable and all different."

"This was a lovely and unique experience. The hotel is just a few miles outside Oban but we felt like we were far away, in the beautiful Scottish countryside. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly, the room was quiet and comfortable. We ate at both restaurants and had superior meals every time. They had live music from a local trio one evening in the lounge and they were absolutely delightful! We highly recommend this lovely place!"

Our hostess started us off in the morning with a delightful breakfast, good cup of coffee and good advice or directions to our days activities. She made sure we enjoyed ourselves. "Both elevators were out at one point, the staff couldn’t check me in even minutes earlier than the 3pm guideline,and the whole ‘meal thing’ felt weird about inclusions or exclusions. Pay to park (but only 10 pounds) for two nights - but still…great location for rail or ferry, but the staff couldn’t check use an upgrade. PS. Why are the damn hallways so narrow to your room? I could barely get by a maids cart…seems like the fire regulations would be wider. Narrowest I have ever seen in any hotel....

"The hotel was okay no elevator. Pillows were hard and the beds uncomfortable. The bathroom door would creek when you open it . No A/C but I knew that before I booked it. We did have a fan in the room but it was so hot the fan did nothing. The breakfast was very nice as well as the service from the staff . Very close to the shops ."

"Had a lovely 1 night stay at Blair Villa. It is a cute little b&b style hotel that is located up a small hill, a couple minutes walk away from Oban town centre. We were welcomed in the property by a lovely host who promptly checked us in and gave us the room key. The rooms were very clean and spacious with a very modern bathroom. "I was very disappointed with the facilities provided by the hotel to its paid guests. Occupants were not allowed to use the sauna and needed to book well in advance, and it's closed at 5pm, and if you are free in the evening, you don't have access to it. Also, it only allows you a 30-minute slot."

"The pictures on Expedia were misleading. The check in went smoothly, however, we ultimately decided to leave and forgo staying. There were many people checking in so it appeared quite popular. The cost, given what other, nicer hotels in the area were charging, we decided to leave. My smell was of older place and my eyes were itching so we didn’t feel it was a good match for us."
