"The views were incredible and the food at the restaurant were really good. The workers slap very nice and accommodating. However our room had bugs and ants all over it; bathroom, floor and even the bed. It’s unfortunate because this is a very nice / scenic / quiet spot. "

"It is adorable, neat and clean. It is on the dead end of a residential street, so it's very quiet. The grounds are beautiful, the pool is a nice size, and the breakfast is good. The best part is the staff. They are friendly, helpful and kind. I will definitely stay here again!"

If interested in learning Spanish, at any level, look into the school Academia Tica. Jaco is also a great place to learn to surf, check out the Surfer Factory for lessons. So much fun and a great workout!

Lots of dining options. Polite people. Short drive from our hotel. Several food markets. Fun souvenirs. Pops ice cream stores. I felt safe dio the day; I didn't go to town at night, only because I don't usually explore the nightlife anywhere.

Magical little surf town. We enjoyed the surf competition Saturday night in Playa Hermosa and i also took private surf lessons right at the hotel.

Jaco is a lazy beach town of a morning and a booming nightclub at night. The ease of walking or taxis in this place is amazing. It is a party town of a night so for a single solo man its paradise.

I loved the beach, and I was happy not to be approached by peddlers all the time like I was while staying in Tamarindo.
"Our stay at Hotel Lia was truly unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. Every detail, from the impeccable cleanliness to the exceptional hospitality, exceeded our expectations.
The food was sensational, and we found ourselves looking forward to every meal. Special thanks to Sebastian, Christian, and Juana, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The concierge and front desk team were also fantastic, making our stay seamless. Hotel security was also involved, helping us with luggage, restaurant suggestions, and travel tips. Priscilla (the AM coffee attendant) was clutch to waking up early to get the day started.
The hotel’s central location allowed us to easily explore nearby restaurants and shops—everything was just a short walk away. We genuinely can't think of a single negative aspect; it was that good!

"It’s a lovely beachfront spot with amenities that allows you to relax without having the need to leave for dining. Each villa has a fully equipped kitchen but there is a restaurant and bar on property as well. There are spa services available but the massage received during our stay was lackluster at best. The staff was an absolute delight! From the groundskeepers, housekeeping, service staff and the front desk went above and beyond! The ocean is particularly calm in this area with very little drop off that makes swimming and wading enjoyable. This spot will be revisited! "
