"The place is a rental property rather than a hotel. The host Carla was very friendly and responsive. The view was amazing. However, the property could use some serious work. There were holes on the wall, stains on the couch, splashes on the kitchen window shades, mold or stains on bathroom ceiling. The bathroom sink doesn’t work. "I have to say that this was a first class operation! Everyone from the front desk to the owner worked so ridiculously hard to make our stay fantastic. The food there was stupendous and the cocktails were amazing. I am from South Florida and it was a step above. The rooms were small, but they were tastefully decorated so it wasnt cramped feeling. My daughter and i were there for 3 days and it was a refreshing change. Beds were really comfortable!

"We loved our stay at the Cerro Lodge. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and wonderful for bird watching. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The restaurant was a very comfortable place to be, and the pizza was delicious! Between birdwatching, floating in the pool, and enjoying the restaurant/observation deck, we were able to fully relax at Cerro Lodge!"
"Our suite was amazing. We knew we found a gem as soon as we opened the door. The wall of the ocean side of our suite was entirely a glass wall with massive sliding doors which could open the room up to the patio and private pool (which is maybe about 80 degrees F and very well maintained). The view of the ocean and mountains is surreal. You’re more than likely guaranteed a sunset view, and the sun seems to set for a solid three hours. You can see it from every part of the suite. Even the shower. The horizon is so broad that even rain is fascinating to watch come in. The staff is fantastic too. They cleaned our room and even took care of the dishes, all the while being non invasive and respecting our privacy and belongings. Steven and Lisa’s is a 5 minute drive, there’s a few super minis and liquor stores 3 minutes away. "

"We had high hopes for this vacation and property, and it absolutely blew them out of the water! Absolutely gorgeous place to stay - well equipped and functional with a view that literally never ceases to amaze. Just a breathtaking place.In terms of specifics, you are about 20-30 minutes' drive from the highway, so that will factor in to your plans while staying here, but there's a market on the club property for essentials, and a fantastic supermarket a very short drive down the highway where you can stock up on everything you'd possibly need. The beach is a very short (if steep) walk from the condo, and the pool that's right at the bottom of the elevator was a huge hit. All in all, an absolute dream vacation spot that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The host was also extremely communicative over WhatsApp, and was ready to answer any and all, questions we had. To say we were happy with the experience would be a criminal understatement!"
