House was clean and cozy. We stayed for a yearly ice fishing trip, caught fish and enjoyed the experience.

Lake location for a great price.
Beautiful lake location for the price. We used this house as a base to explore Boothbay area. We saw bald eagles and loons on a regular basis. Loved that there were 2 single person kayaks to use. Kitchen well stocked. This was a good stay away from home.
The house was clean, quiet, and perfect. Steps from the water (ice in our case). While it is clearly an old Maine cabin, the appliances were all new and updates are clearly happening. Kitchen was well stocked and furniture comfortable. The dead end street on the peninsula means no traffic worries, which was nice with our old dog. We were there in the winter in single digit temps and had no trouble keeping the place warm enough, especially with the easy-to-use woodstove. Loved every second and plan to return.

Rustic getaway, far from the city
If you know what "camp in Maine" means, you will know what this property is like. Far away from the city (12 miles from Augusta), no services nearby. No internet, but that was specifically stated in the property description. Lake is mere steps away from the back door of the camp. There were kayaks available for use. Inside was ok, looks like it was a work in progress.

Just what we needed!!!
As expected: Was as pictured (and in many cases, better. It’s a camp so we expected imperfections and wear in kitchen floor, unimproved bedrooms-though the master bedroom facing the water was lovely and fully finished. Kitchen had all we needed to cook every meal, along with grill which was in use many dinners. Shopping at Hussey’s is a fun experience and true grocery store about 20 mins to South China.
The living room is spacious over looking pond giving fantastic views of morning fog dissipating as sun rises (August). Humming birds frequent the feeder (follow internet instruction for safe feeding of these delightful friends). There was sufficient couch space for our family of four to spread out on rainy days for either moving watching (ample DVD collection) and dining room table offered space for us to play games; either of those provided or ones we brought ourselves.
Washer and dryer are in full working order and easy to operate.
Diving from dock isn’t advisable unless you are a strong jumper and dive outwards-both our sons cleared this and enjoyed it. We dock is wonderful, generally. We lay on the dock many evenings and saw some of the Perseid meteors.
in a two week span, there was very little noise from surrounding neighbors, the exception being one Saturday evening, where there was a fireworks display across the pond, as well as a function further down the pond with a DJ, but most sound ended by 9 PM
The pond was perhaps the biggest amenity and we spent most days swimming or paddling in the two sit – on kayaks provided. The loons on the pond were constant companions, both with their haunting songs at night as well as swimming nearby us as we swam or paddled.
As expected: No WiFi at this location-with Verizon call signal was possible in most locations. Broadband was possible in limited capacity in a couple of locations in the house and allowed for some streaming with a little buffering at times but variably workable.
on the whole, this was one of the best vacation rentals we’ve experienced in the last 20 years. Though not “fancy” it felt like a cherished home-one to which we hope to return soon. we are grateful to the owners and Vacasa, respectively, for their property and amenities as well as responsiveness to our questions.
Really cute house on the lake. Clean. Private. There were loons out every morning! We took the kayaks out in the evening for a relaxing paddle. The only thing I would prepare for is that the nearest gas station/convenience store is about a 10 to 15 minute drive

Great birding spot.
Fires fireflies birds kayaking neighbors are friendly.
The weather was cold and rainy but the cabin was cozy, warm, and clean. We still ran/biked/ tried to fish. Played the games they had, and built the puzzles as well. The road was quiet and a good place for the little guy to bike- close enough to other things.

Loved it!
Not only was the place clean but it had everything we needed. It even had games and toys for the kids. There was a broken fan the day we got there and the next morning someone showed up with two brand new fans! Amazing service! He checked the propane tank and filled that while he was there. We loved the water front area it was even great for my 1 year old to get into the water and play. We had momma duck and her babies visit us daily and came right up to us. Loved every bit of our stay. Neighbors are all beyond friendly and all had to come visit and meet our Great Dane. Absolutely will be returning and have already recommended to people. Was a wonderful experience, we did not want to leave!
Some nearby properties are a little rough looking but the camp is functional and clean, nothing fancy. What makes this a great place is the lake view and access. Also the fire ring is excellent and the whole atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing camp experience! Definitely plan to refer the property to family/friends and return myself!
This was exactly as posted. Tv had 3 stations. No remote but easy to turn on and off. No Wi-Fi was great to just put away the electronics and appreciate the water and sound of the loons. We had some rainy weather but it really was relaxing.

Family of 5 Summer Lake Trip
This is our first Vacasa booking and we went in blind renting this house with no reviews. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised. The dock to the lake is in good shape. Excellent for fishing which my husband and kids did. There is a small beach which worked perfect for our little ones to be able to play without lifejackets (pack water shoes) lots of rocks. Don't leave chairs on the end of the dock they will blow. We lost one for several hours as it ended up in the cove down the way. The house was cozy for our family of 5 ( twin 3 year olds and a 6 year old). The lights switches were quirky but we figured it out towards the end. The washer and dryer did not work great. The washer left things soaked and the dryer never dried all the way. Not sure if it was the power issue as the dryer would turn on and off. The kitchen had newer appliances which was great since dining options are limited in the area. Recommend doing a large grocery pick up at Hannaford in Gardiner before getting to the house. Hussy’s does have last minute pick ups. The lake water was very clean and the neighbors were very friendly. There is also a public boat ramp on the lake and can be found on maine.gov. The yard is fairly flat and would recommend for families. Overall, we had fun cooling off at the lake.

Great fall get away
This camp was perfect for us. We had great fun kayaking and birding. The leaves were turning and the lake was beautiful. A campfire from time to time was a treat. Only an hour or so from a variety of coastal locations we enjoyed lobster and the local lighthouses. It was so comfortable and we look forward to returning another year.

You’ll never want to leave!
This has been the best experience I’ve ever had when it came to vacation rentals. The house was so cozy and the view was absolutely stunning. You can wake up to a beautiful view of the lake and enjoy the rest of your day by the water fishing, kayaking, and so much more. The peace and happiness makes you never want to go home. Can’t wait to book again!!!
Spent a relaxing week away from it all at this camp/cabin! Excellent fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Forty minutes to the coast for a day trip to Camden. Not a property for young children (under 4) as swimming access was a bit challenging. But, wear those water shoes and bring your float. and the water was gorgeous. Peaceful location with friendly nearby neighbors. Spent each night around the firepit toasting marshmallows and enjoyiing the loons. No Wi-Fi but bring your Roku and hotspot (and patience) for a movie or hookup your iPad/laptop and stream those previously downloaded movies for the rainy days. DVD Player there too. 1-2 bars service LTE for both AT&T and Verizon made it all work. Nearby general store has pretty much everything you need. Property is carpeted and dog friendly. Our lab enjoyed the swimming tremendously. Would recommend.

Quiet vacation spot!
We loved our stay at Long Pond! Our family has been renting cottages on Maine lakes for decades. Swimming was amazing, kayaking was fun, and the place itself had everything we needed. My advice to the owner is to post waterfront pictures. It’s so pretty!

Lifetime of great memories
The overall vacation was amazing! I was a professional cleaner so the cleanliness wasn't MY standards, which are high. Could've used more dusting and mopping. But the memories we made and the fun we had was/is priceless! All the necessities were there, plenty of spare blankets and linen, cookware... An amazing time and is now going to be a yearly adventure for my family and I!
