"Could not even check. My money was totally wasted. Made the reservation after 10 and didn't read the fine print that I would need to make arrangements with the hotel before 9 to get keys! Why did Expedia and the hotel take my money when I drove all that way and wasted that money for nothing! Extremely frustrating experience. Guess you always have to read the fine print. Corporate America is all too happy to steal your hard-earned money!"

"We rented the Waterfall cabin. It's a lovely summer house probably from the 1920s. Very private and quiet with lovely vegetation. Be advised that access to this particular cabin is via several outdoor stairs, so don't pick it if that would be a problem for you."

"What a gem of a place. For a first timer in HMB, I was very impressed with the layout of this hotel. Only guests are allowed onsite (so our car felt safe); almost every room has a view of the bay; we got a free bottle of wine and glass-free wine glasses to take to the giant jacuzzi! "It is an old hotel with lots of charm (on the outside). The lobby falls a little flat and could use a little more character and tbh... it smelled unpleasant! The room was very nice and looked as expected as shown in the photos. The king bed was very nice and comfortable, however the pillows were not - they went flat as soon as you laid your head on them. I think an addition of a desk would go a long way. The walls are thin so I heard our very loud neighbors talking on the phone 11pm at night....

"Cute little cottage overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed our stay from the moment we were greeted by the friendly and hospitable front desk agent. Our room was comfortable. A sliding glass door opened to a small patio with chairs and ocean view. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was large with a huge, deep tub. "The inn was very lovely with nice surroundings and clean rooms. It was bit odd to have a chair place adjacent to the gas fireplace but since it was so warm out the fireplace was not used. The bed was comfy, the ground pretty and the location very quiet."

"While we were only able to stay one night due to our plans to travel up the Coast of California, we truly enjoyed everything about the quant and laid back lodging near the Russian River. Close to town, but still far enough down the road to feel the getaway vibe. Loved the huge Redwood trees, smores at the fire pit, and an amazing grab and go style breakfast, which we enjoyed back at our room. Would stay here again without hesitation! Great Place!"
