"A cozy little cabin in the Adirondacks! It was a great base for our explorations, and a lovely place to rest when we weren't adventuring! The wooden ADK chairs on the sunny porch and relaxing hammock were favorite spots! Touches like having games, walking sticks, and even a guitar available made it feel like home. Our host was responsive with communication, and all the information and suggestions throughout were very thoughtful. Will keep this on our list of favorites!"

Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!

After traveling a long way I was greeted at the desk by a wonderful female staff. She provided me dinner recommendations and reminded me of the complementary beverages in the lobby. The room was very clean and there were plenty of towels. It was a little tricky to find as the road sneaks up on you even with GPS and the room was a little thin but everything else was worth it. It was a real treat to stay at the Balsam Inn! The Inn is off the beaten path like I wanted and very very quite. Jenny is a warm welcoming host. She even upgraded my room just because it was available. The room itself was beautiful! It felt like I was a guest in someones Adirondack mountain home.
