"The room was DISGUSTING!!! The air conditioning did not work at all, they offered to fix it during our stay but we would have to be out of the room for 4+ hours and at the time we were in the middle of showering and changing and no other time was offered because their air conditioning guy was leaving town that day! The refrigerator was broken and we were given a nasty cooler to fill with ice to keep anything refrigerated that we bought. There was hair leftover in the shower from the guests before us so it leads me to believe that they don’t clean the showers between guests. The beds, sheets and pillows had mystery stains on it and we ended up buying new sheets after the first night because we were so grossed out! We also bought Clorox wipes to wipe down the bedside table and chairs and all the wipes turned brown after we did that. The hotel is a good price so i understand not being the fanciest, but it was just straight up nasty! It smelled and we ended up buying room spray to try it make the stay more bearable. They had bikes available to check out but they all seemed to be on their last leg and the bike I rode broke about a mile down the trail and I had to walk it back. I would not recommend this place at all!!"

"We loved our stay at Kauai Shores Hotel. The rooms were updated and very clean, and the entire property was beautifully maintained. The groundskeeping really stood out, and every staff member we interacted with was genuinely friendly and welcoming. Would absolutely stay here again."

"This is a great “home base” for anyone who plans to explore the island during the day, but wants a comfortable “apartment” to return to at the end of the day. It was very spacious with all kitchen items present. The pool and gym were nice, but not the most exciting. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, but there were not many around. We had a problem with the room and it was fixed the same day. Free parking during your stay, too!"

"We had a great stay in this unit. It is exactly as pictured, which is great. Excellent location in Kapa'a, making it easy to get around the island. Local shops , restaurants, coffee shops are really close and wonderful. We will go back!"

"Everything about the condo exceeded expectations! Shirley and her on-island associate, Cristine, were most accomodating and made every aspect of my holiday top shelf! My favorite part is that the lanai faces due east and it was the most perfect way to start the day with a cup of coffee and the sunrise. The only problem with this holiday and my stay is that it wasn't long enough!!! In all my 64 years, Kauai has been my favorite holiday and I'll definitely be returning (and to the same accomodations) next year! aloha"

"Everything about this place was awesome. The location was great since it was in between the north and south side so we could visit both without too much time in the car. The place was clean, had amazing ocean views and had everything we needed. Even beach chairs and boogie boards. The location was on a beach walking/running trail which was nice since I was training for a marathon. The hosts were top notch with communication on anything we needed. We would stay here anytime we visit Kauai. "
