"We spent two nights at the Izuyasu and greatly enjoyed our stay. This is a traditional inn, which has been owned by the same family for seven generations. They were extremely hospitable and have a combination of family and English-speaking staff running the inn. The owner took the time to share with us the history of the inn and the significance of some of the decorations, which we very much appreciated. "It's Kyoto, you're going to walk regardless. My room was close to the smoking balcony, so you can catch a whip because it can go through the aircon vent. Free coffee, tea, and hot water. Great curry and ramen restaurants a few blocks away. Overall 10/10"
