Laurel Lake Placid

"Overall, a good stay. The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful and polite, and the “free” breakfast was a nice touch. A couple of suggestions for improvement: Adding a locker or small safe in the room would be very helpful. The showers could also use an update. The minimal glass partition simply isn’t enough to keep water contained. Either a shower curtain or a full sliding glass door would make a big difference, as the current setup leaves the bathroom floor quite wet after every shower."

"The inn is in a convenient location. The staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast offerings were plentiful, including fresh waffles, but no eggs. Specious room comfortable beds. One negative is the lack of an elevator. This was our second stay at this hotel and we'd stay there again."

"The hotel was warm and welcoming. The room was newly renovated and had plenty of space and storage. It was ideally located and we were easily able to walk to different locations in town."

"Hotel Saranac is perfectly located for a weekend in the Adirondacks, in the heart of Saranac Lake for easy walking to restaurants, a short bike ride to the Rail Trail, and a reasonable drive to great hiking and outdoor opportunities. It’s a great historic hotel with lots of character and an amazing bar and lounge area, with great views of town and the mountains. Parking is plentiful and free. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. It is accessible and user friendly for guests that have mobility challenges."
