It’s not pristine and perfect everywhere but we found in had faded charm and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended."

"Nice big room. Had a sea view however there is a huge pine tree in the middle. Room was very big with a very nice and clean bathroom. Check in was easy enough. It is a classic old hotel that could do with some updating. Didnt dibe in so i cant comment on that. Overall a very enjoyable stay abd when the wife says she would stay here again you know its a good hotel. "

"Excellent hotel, located conveniently close to Exeter. Service on arrival was clear and helpful, the room was tidy and had all the needed amenities. Parking was plentiful. Bed was very comfortable and we had a lovely stay."

"The staff on reception/bar & food ordering could not have been more helpful. They logged my car in and took the payment to save me doing it. And especially appreciated after a long drive: I was able to choose a couple of things from the menu and a much earned drink and take to my room. And my room was extremely nice - bed and bedding very comfortable, the right size, bathroom (and shower!) very good and I was able to work at the mini desk the following morning. A huge tick from me."
