The property has a lovely old-Key-West charm, and the yard is truly special with a peaceful, soulful atmosphere. The hosts were kind and welcoming, which we appreciated. However, there was a constant musty/moldy smell inside the house that never went away and even transferred to our clothes. Strong essential oils were used to try to mask the odor, but they were overwhelming and caused headaches. The towels and sheets were also quite worn and could use replacing. With improved air quality, deep cleaning, and refreshed linens, this place could be much more comfortable.

The property was off the beaten path, but with easy access to the beach, and walkable to all the interesting sites and experiences of Key West. Nice, private spaces to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. Oh, and the delicious Florida oranges were great too!

Honest review

In a great location, close to beach, walking distance to Duval St, but Only problem we had was the floors not properly washed. My daughter’s white socks were black after walking those floors and white hand towels are almost gray color, wonder if they bleach them. Shower head is like a mist, if I were owner, I’d replace. And I would say it’s time to repaint the place. Too many stains on walls and doorways. I’m just a bit of a germaphobe. But overall stay was good.

Great place to stay in Key West. Mark the property owner very helpful and easy to get along. Fantastic swimming pool to cool off in the hot sun. Highly recommend it.

Check in was a mess but other than that, it was a nice stay. There was a mango tree that kept dropping mangoes. We were allowed to eat all we wanted. That was an especially nice perk of staying there.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Nice secluded setting on side street, but also close to the beach and to the main tourist street called Duval street. Only one draw-back, it was indicated on the expedia registration that a complimentary breakfast was available. However, coffee, fruit ant nut bars do not really seem a fair description for breakfast. That said, it was not a big issue for us and did not mar our stay. We really enjoyed our stay here and was good value for the price involved.

Great spot. A secluded garden compound just a short walk from Duval. Close to the action yet quiet and private. The owner was very responsive and the accommodations were exactly as described.

We stayed in November 2025. Property looked abandoned. Host had son oversee property. He was supposed to meet us upon arrival but it took numerous calls to get him there. There were ripped and damaged chairs at one entrance. Once in property it looked abandoned and neglected. Lots of barrels of brush, unusable mini golf area filled with debris. Room was extremely dusty, filled with massive amounts of old brochures and magazines. No fresh fruit or snacks as advertised the whole time we were there. Only enough coffee for one day of our four day stay. Mugs were disgusting. Old broken air conditioner hung loosely out of wall. This property has so much potential if only maintained.

This was the WORST experience I've ever had in an Airbnb or hotel, or literally anywhere. READ TO THE END - 1st the host was the most inhospitable person I've ever met. The son & wife acted as if we were intruding on them. They did not even say hi, just walked around us weirdly & turned around when eye contact was made. We arrived & decided to take a nap from our long voyage, only to be woken up by SCREAMING coming from the other side of the wall which we were only to believe was the wife. Anytime we would leave, they would quickly be around the corner, I FIRMLY believe they went into our rooms when we were away. I asked to rent bicycles from him, which he has offered. Only to be told someone else might want them. And ''good luck" with finding bikes to rent. Which they were in fact very easy to find. Again, woken up by screaming / piano playing at midnight. And then the ICING ON THE CAKE was the day we were supposed to check out, at 1015am (checkout time was 11am) we received a knock on the door saying "housekeeping" we answered that we were still in there. The owner (a 50ish old man) let himself into our room - 2 young women in our 30s - I was getting dressed & my friend was naked in bed. He was like oh I was just checking. Sir. Do not let yourself into our room before checkout. That's CRAZy & invasive. In hindsight I should have called the police. Then he opened the door AGAIN asking for our bikes. I told him no that we would return them. I would NEVER stay here.

The Air-conditioning was not working, and the landlord didnt have any other rooms. They knew the AC was broken and did'nt try to fix before we arrived, or call to notify us. VERY POOR! They blamed others for the problem, like it wasnt their responsibility. When i told them we were searching for other accommodations they said they could get box fans or try to find someone to fix it if the part was available. We found another place (much smaller and more expensive) to stay, and then they said there son could fix it. We left as fast as we could Bad thing is because we paid through venmo ww probably will not get a refund. Expedia did not help to solve our issues and im very disappointed in that experience as well

Our stay at Suite Dreams was a pleasant experience. The bed was comfortable, air conditioning on point, and property was quiet. We felt the place was ours exclusively even though other patrons were there. We enjoyed having use of beach chairs, noodles, and towels. The hammock chairs were a nice way to relax in the evening. The owner was available and responsive to our questions and requests. We felt there were some things that could be improved upon like the linen and towels could be updated. The room was a bit smaller than we expected and it felt damp. One evening we wanted to stay in and watch tv but the picture quality was bad so we turned it off. I would have preferred to be able to open windows but there weren’t screens to keep bugs out. Overall though we enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
