"Parking garage is cramped and dirty. The one day I wanted to have the breakfast buffet, the restaurant was closed without explanation."

"The hot tub did not work and the pool was disgusting (stairs were all slippery as if covered by algae). Breakfast was excellent, although they ran out of coffee and it took a very long time for them to replace. In the room the air conditioning did not work and even though the thermostat said 67 the room was very hot. Also, the faucet in the shower was backwards (hot was cold, cold was hot) and very loose. The night staff was nice, but he told us that we could use the backdoor to get back into the hotel after putting the parking pass on my truck but it did not work with the key and we had to walk back around the entire hotel. The receptionist in the morning, despite hearing that we were going to the hot tub, and getting bracelets for it, decided to let us find out on our own that it was not working. Had we known, my fiance wouldn't have specifically gone out at that moment to get a bathing suit. Instead we found out when I went to try the hot tub. When I reported that it did not work she said, "Oh, I know, they are working on it" . This was extremely frustrating. This looks as if it could be a gorgeous hotel, but stuff like that, especially since the hot tub was one of the reasons I booked that location, really brings down the overall quality of the location. "

"Check in requires an online form including a background check at your expense. It’s a nice place. Unbelievable 8th floor of recreation, spa w sauna and steam room w showers, tv, pool, ping pong, tvs everywhere, the backyard includes half court ncaa size backboard bball, bags, dog park, multiple outdoor kitchens w granite and more. It’s expensive and it’s worth it "

"Stayed one night in a junior suite at Hilton Garden Inn North Shore and had one of the worst nights of sleep in a long time. The bed was extremely firm, and the pillows were completely worn out with little to no support. The room’s air conditioner made things worse. It was loud and oddly placed, with the vent right next to the bed blowing directly on me all night. The bar experience didn’t help either. My martini was poorly made, and the bartender didn’t seem to know how to prepare a Cosmopolitan, which is a pretty standard cocktail. The room layout was also strange and not very functional. Overall, the hotel feels very worn. The carpet in the room was dirty, and the common areas showed visible signs of neglect. This property is clearly in need of a refresh. Would not stay again."

"Historic building, small elevator and parking is with the neighboring condominium building which wasn’t hard to figure out but not ideal for any one with any handicaps based walking needs. Great location for Wrigleyville fun though!"

"The rooms were modern and clean. My only issue was that the TV did not work and the staff was not able to fix it."
