"Wonderful building, strategically well located in a very beautiful Chicago area, staff is super friendly and accommodating, I got there early and they had no problem assigning my room inmediatly, I booked a panoramic room, the view was breathtaking!! The restaurant service is also great, I had a delicious breakfast and they have a very appealing brunch package. I will be coming back every time I have to work in Chicago!"

Freehand Chicago

"Overall, we had a good stay at the Freehand Chicago. The location was convenient, and despite being in a busy area, we slept peacefully throughout the night. The hotel was also accommodating in holding our luggage after checkout since we had a later flight, which we appreciated. That said, there were several areas that could be improved. We requested extra towels and asked for our body soap dispenser to be refilled, but neither request was fulfilled during our stay. Customer service was hit or miss. When we asked the front desk for recommendations on nearby restaurants and attractions, we were simply told to “Google it,” which felt dismissive and unhelpful. The biggest concern was the bathroom—there appeared to be mold in multiple areas. Overall, the hotel has a great location and some convenient amenities, but improvements in housekeeping, maintenance, and guest service would make for a much better experience."

"Initial checkin was a disaster. Four sets of keys before they got ones that worked. Food in the evenings is very sparse and not much to choose from. Chips and salsa, that was always scaping the bottom of the bowl, get old.One bartender so the line is wrapped around the corner. Only one beer dispenser working, so bud light or nothing. Pool is pretty small. No chairs, just a few loungers. On site food is a pizza place that only makes pizza, and the crust is paper thin. It's like eating a cheese covered sticker. Stayed at many embassy suites over the years, this is the worst one to date."

"We had reserved a king bed, but since we checked in later in the evening, I guess none were available and my wife and I ended up with twin beds instead. Overall, our experience with the front desk staff was mixed — some were very friendly and helpful, while others were not."
