"Let me start by saying the service staff of the hotel did a good job. They let me check in early without charging a fee as a courtesy, and provided a choice of breakfast which was room delivered every morning as part of my stay and no extra charge, for which I am very grateful. That said, the hotel is a strange combination of luxury and dilapidation. The floors of my room were noticeable dirty, with particulate matter and hair evidently present. There was also an issue of either bed bugs or...

"The room was very well-prepared and the owner is kind and helpful, and seems like she has some interesting stories to tell. I was hoping the bar would be a gathering spot for all the guests, but I never saw it open (appears to be by reservation?) That we were encouraged to return by 9 PM was also a bit onerous (given it is 30 minutes from the city centre), but an understandable part of the guesthouse experience."

"Beautiful hotel, elegant and well thought through from the free shuttle to downtown and from the train station to the convenience store on the main floor. We stayed in a triple room and had lots of space. One of the elevators was glass giving you an incredible view of the harbour. Pillows were a bit odd but you can ask for a softer set. Kettle and AC in every room. We loved it! Stay here for sure."
