Staying here was very pleasant. After checking in, we reserved one of the private baths (Reservations are for 45 minutes, and one reservation can be made at a time,) and headed down to the town to walk around. The walk from the hotel to the station at the bottom/central area of town is about ten or fifteen minutes. What a great place... Everything was great! As a ryokan, the room was Japanese style, no shoes. The staff was not very conversant in English...enough to get by... and it could NOT have been better. Hotel Goshobo truly envelops you in the history and tradition of a Ryoukan. The staff are super serious about their presentation and very very friendly. A stay here even for a single night is highly recommended.

I like the onsen

Everything about this experience was top notch. From the staff (friendly and so very helpful) to the room (simply beautiful with amazing amenities) to the superb breakfast. Very pricey so definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

The hotel should give notice to guests at reservation how to take shuttle bus from either bus station or train station to the hotel as the hotel is on a hill.

Loved this property and onsen! After spending the last two weeks walking all over Tokyo this was a wonderful way to relax! Part of the onsen is outside and overlooks the water. The harbor and Chinatown make it a great area to explore.

Our stay at the Negiya Ryofukaku was nothing short of excellent. The staff were very professional and polite, accommodating both our very limited Japanese language skills and our request for a larger yukata (I'm apparently taller than the average guest). This is an excellent, upscale property that really takes good care of guests. The room we stayed in was very large, especially compared to normal Japanese hotels. The hot spring is well maintained, and the dinner was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Excellent location. Unique hotel with impressive design. Extremely clean. Ocean view rooms are worse the price. Very accommodating staff. The breakfast buffet is excellent and appealing to everyone.

We loved how clean and efficient everything is. It has tons of dining and eating options, konbinis, and high end brands and low cost/affordable shopping options. The harbor is Less than 10 min away and the subway and transportation to visit other areas is within walkable distance. I totally recommend it!

Must take the train car (not covered by JR) to this location from JR Sannomiya Station. 10 minute walk up a steep hill from the Arimaonsen Station to the hotel.
