"The Big Island Retreat is a lovely property located minutes on foot to one of the best snorkeling beaches on Big Island. We stayed in the Ocean view room which was over 2 floors. The view from the bedroom is lovely. The rooms are quite small with little storage. The bed was only a double and very high off the floor making getting into it really hard. The bathroom is not totally enclosed and has no basin as the kitchen sink is just outside. Although there was nobody staying in the rooms...

"This resort was relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again if I had the opportunity. The only reason that I did not give it a perfect review was due to the really weird design of the window in the bedroom. It was a corner window that faced into the outdoor entrance to the condo. "A simple, quaint, somewhat hidden hotel with a motel feel. The hotel was good for the price, significantly less expensive than other hotels in the area. The staff were helpful, in particular the front desk staff were very friendly, helpful and responsive. One member of the front desk staff, Rehna, was a joy to interact with and went out of her way to make my stay more comfortable and convenient. The room was clean with a simple set up.
