Room service was excellent, the rooms are a little small but it seems to be the case in Japan :) we both loved the thoughtfulness and care for all the amenities and little touches in the room and the staff were wonderful and really helpful. Having laundry in the hotel was useful although the dryer is not too strong so you may need to run multiple rounds. This place was also close to the city centre and Kyoto station despite being in a quieter...

"Hotel is located about 5 minutes walking distance from Kyoto Station. It's very convenient to move around Kyoto either by train, by metro or by bus. Hotel staff is polite and helpful. We like this hotel and will return when in Kyoto."

"The actual room is a beautiful and bespoke Japanese design. Lots of room for luggage storage and moving around in the galley style kitchen. It's on a very busy street so you can hear lots of night time traffic but the hotel provides plenty of earplugs. It's right across the street from Toji temple (where we were going) but is a bit of a walk (about 15 min) to Kyoto Station."
