"We have stayed here many times over the years. Lovely place and they are handling bad storm weather and renovations of one pool well. We booked a pool view but there was no pool in sight from our room, no big deal since we not in the room much. Things have changed over the years as is natural but usually you hope it would be for the better. The aura doesn’t feel as serene or happy, they take away as much of the little things as they can that seem petty to complain about. Such as water coolers that used to be near the towel hits are gone, need to fill in the room or buy bottled from the market or restaurant. The small touches matter. The restaurants have gotten ridiculously expensive, we used to eat at least one meal a day on property and have a few drinks each day. Not anymore. We went to the pool bar for a drink and the server made us pay for it right away, we had hoped to have another but the way he treated changed our minds. 18% tip at the restaurant is automatically on the bill. “Automatically adding a tip or service charge to a restaurant bill is illegal in Mexico under the Federal Consumer Protection Law (enforced by PROFECO), though some tourist-heavy spots still attempt it.”"

"La ubicación es especial y espectacular. Piscinas espectaculares y vista al mar perfectas. No es seguro bañarse en la playa por sus fuertes corrientes. Tuvimos una mala experiencia con cucarachas parte trasera del deck con la piscina. Realmente eran miles."

"Our stay at One&Only Palmilla was truly unforgettable. ✨ We came with friends and family, and from the moment we arrived, we felt so incredibly welcomed and cared for. The entire staff was exceptional—warm, attentive, genuine, and always one step ahead of us. What truly took the experience to another level was the personalized service. Having someone check in with us throughout the day by text, making sure everything was perfect and asking if there was anything we needed, made us feel so special. It’s that level of thoughtfulness and attention to detail that sets One&Only Palmilla apart. Every interaction felt genuine, and the hospitality was simply amazing. We had such a wonderful time creating memories with our friends and family, and we left feeling incredibly grateful. One&Only Palmilla is more than a beautiful resort—it’s the people who make it truly extraordinary. We cannot wait to return! ❤️✨"

"Overall, we had a good stay thanks to the friendly staff, good food, and an excellent room location. Breakfast was consistently enjoyable and stood out among the dining options. The biggest disappointment was the alcohol selection. Tecate was the only draft beer available throughout the grounds, and the room minibar included just two Carta Blanca beers per day. When we wanted more, we had to order and pay for them through room service. The liquor offerings throughout the resort were also limited to lower-end brands. My biggest recommendation is to watch out for the timeshare sales representatives. The hotel specifically warned guests in writing about avoiding them at the airport, yet similar representatives (concierges) were waiting at the resort and actively approaching arriving guests. It felt inconsistent with the hotel's own advice."

"I don’t know if I’ve ever stayed at a hotel that was so well curated! This hotel is a community center a recording studio. Every piece of art has a link to its artist. This community was so well thought out to include the locals and yourself. Don’t forget to pack a bunch of bathing suits. This private beach experience was some of the best swimming I’ve ever done in Baja. Ross and the desk staff you were off the chain helpful wise."

"This place is pretty remote so you definitely feel away. The sea is gorgeously blue and clear, with a vista right outside our room When we went is was HOT so the little dipping pool on our unit deck was very much appreciated - as was the AC. The staff was very nice and helpful. The food wasn’t super fantastic but we found a great surf shop 2 minutes down the beach called Coyote Cafe with fantastic grilled shrimp and chicken (and a full bar for those wanting a margarita). Oh FYI - and if you don’t plan to use the hotel shuttle to get back/forth from town you’ll need to get a good SUV with 4 wheel drive because much of the roads are unpaved and it’s a crazy ride to/from."
