"The room was okay, nothing special, but it was clean. There’s nothing nearby at all, so you definitely need a car. Our reservation was cancelled at first for no valid reason, and staff later entered our room while we were sleeping, claiming they hadn’t received payment. I had to show proof that we’d paid correctly, and despite the mistake being theirs, there was no apology for the disturbance. Unprofessional and poorly handled."

"It is a nice quiet property, well maintained with lovely gardens. It is a bit of a walk to the main square, but very manageable as long as it is not too hot. The room was comfortable and spacious."

"The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. The hallways were quiet at night without any appreciable noise. Some of the staff were very friendly and others were less so. The complimentary breakfast was ok. Their laundry service was very good. The parking was a bit tight in the front of the hotel. Overall, it was a good hotel and definitely one of the better ones in the area."

"The grounds are lovely. It’s a quiet area and just far away enough from the city to hop on a train or just relax nearby. The old world villa style was pretty. A bit of fresh varnish, paint, sealant in the bathrooms, and changing out older hardware and carpets would make this hotel special. The potential for excellence is only a few details away. The breakfast selection was also fantastic! The staff was kind and it worked well for our one night stay as a family of 5 in two rooms."

"We stayed in a deluxe suite- 2 levels and THE largest 2 bathrooms we have ever seen in our European travels. We were able to check in early after a long hot walk from the train station which was greatly appreciated. Front desk staff was super helpful with many tips on places to visit, eat, and drink. Plus they were always there to help ( couldn’t unlock our door). Main part of our room was upstairs with a comfortable bed, huge bathroom and a long shelf like table overlooking the downstairs. Lots of amenities in the bathrooms. Small fridge stocked with a few beverages. Shag carpet going up the stairs. Breakfast buffet was very good with lots of options."

"The staff was rude, out of the 5 restaurants 3 were closed. There was no room service. We had 4 rooms booked for our group. They gave easy to access, walkable distance for the 2 room with NO kids and they put the other 2 rooms in an extremely far away room because we had kids. Just awful"

"We stayed the Admiral for two nights while on a business trip in Bologna. What a beautiful hotel and setting. The staff was extremely attentive and professional, the rooms spacious and comfortable, and the setting gorgeous. I would definitely stay here again given the chance. They are well equipped with on site restaurant and multiple conference halls as needed. The daily breakfast was delicious and the views of the hilly countryside are worth the price alone…don’t miss this gem located just south of Bologna"
