"The staff here are exceptional. They go above and beyond to make sure you have everything that you need and are so friendly and charismatic. We had a lovely stay at Shoji Lake Hotel. The facilities are ‘older’, very traditional Japanese hotel which made our stay a very homey experience. The onsen was wonderful, the indoor onsen was definitely a lot older, but the outdoor onsen was newly renovated and so nice. We will recommend Shojj to everyone going to Japan! "

"Wonderful staff and a very nice place. Good views of Mount Fuji and the outdoor private bathtub was great for soaking in some hot water. Check in is really easy (you'll need to use a translation app at times if you don't speak Japanese). For US Residents who aren't used to sleeping on the floor on just a futon mat or 2, you may be a bit stiff waking up.
