"Unfortunately my stay this time was during their remodeling. The newly refurbished rooms are a wonderful upgrade to the property, and once they are finished, I would add a star to my overall rating. That said, completely apart from the ongoing construction, it was the noise from upstairs that prevented me from getting a good night's rest. If I were to stay here again, I would request an upstairs room. "

"This was admittedly a low-cost option as I literally just needed a bed to sleep in due to an unintended overnight stay in Encinitas. That said, this place was "meh." "

"We booked this property based on the listing description of “direct access to the sand and sea,” along with photos that appeared to show a staircase leading down to the beach. Upon arrival, we were unable to find a staircase or direct access point from the property and instead needed to use a public access route down the street.The home is also part of a duplex, which was not immediately clear to us when booking. With a larger group, we did notice sound carrying between units and received a noise complaint despite using the home as intended.During our stay, we experienced a full-house power outage that lasted approximately 2.5 hours, which required us to reschedule planned activities. There were also a few maintenance concerns, including doors in the back that did not lock properly, a shower door that was off track, and uneven patio areas where some members of our group tripped.The hot tub did not reach a hot temperature during our stay. In addition, the floors appeared to need more thorough cleaning, as socks became visibly dirty shortly after walking inside.The location itself is great, but overall the property experience did not fully match what we expected based on the listing."

"Love the area! We have been coming for years and tried this new location for us. Beach view is awesome. You can see for miles each way. The main deck overlooks the lower rentals open deck and increased the noise level to our unit unbelievably. We were sent messages throughout our stay saying we were complained on for the noise level however it was the lower unit the whole time. Other then a a mini shower in the upper master bathroom the unit was clean and all amenities were were taken care of, towels and such. "
