    The Downtown Jockey, features 3 bedrooms & 2.5 baths. This unit features beautiful hardwood floors, amazing back patio, fenced in backyard, Roku T.V., and wireless internet. The Downtown Jockey has three cozy bedrooms all located on the 2nd floor. Master with a King-sized bed and en-suite, the two adjacent bedrooms feature a TV & QUEEN -sized bed.

    This home also offers guests a full kitchen, washer & dryer, cozy living room, outside patio with Café lights, and just a short commute to live like a local and experience all of Kentucky's finest. An iron and ironing board come with this unit for all of those important events and photos. Residents will also enjoy heat and air conditioning during their stay.

    This property also includes 2 parking spot only! The driveway is shared with the neighbor. All other vehicles may park along the street. Guests are easily able to access Lexington's finest attractions and experience multiple aspects of this diverse city.

    This home allows guests an easy commute by foot, Uber/Lyft or personal car to many desired attractions.

Nice place to stay the night or a weekend!

The house was beautifully decorated…everything was really clean…beds and pillows were super comfy! Great location for a ballgame at Rupp then a night on the town…

Lovely home

Lovely home with a luxurious master suite and a well equipped kitchen. We also enjoyed the backyard for breakfast in the morning.

Comfy home

Couldn’t have been a better location. Host answered questions, timely. It was exactly as described in listing. The house was well stocked, especially kitchen. We would definitely stay again, when in the area.

Property needs attention. Not all smoke detectors operational, an outleft hanging out of the wall, another that didn't work. No tissues or paper towels were provided. The lock on door is difficult to input code, maybe a low battery? Outdoor trashcan overflowing with trash on the ground

Nice house in a nice neighborhood. Had to empty the garbage when we arrived. VERY VERY noisy due to emergency vehicles constantly going by. Bring ear plugs.

Cute historic home

Cute home situated within walking distance of downtown. The surfaces and sleeping areas were clean, detailed cleaning could be better. We had our young children with us and were aware that there were a few things (loose outlet cover, unfastened cover to a laundry chute) that we had to watch out for. Property manager was quick to answer questions. Checkout was a breeze with no responsibilities from the renting party. We enjoyed our stay.

30th Birthday

There were ants in the kitchen and the windows didn’t close and it rained the whole weekend. I reported it but never got a response.

Horrid VRBO

Arrived on Sunday evening and moved out Monday . The house was full of ants, the bathroom upstairs was pouring water through the kitchen ceiling onto the counters and floor. This house should not have been rented because it was obvious this was not the first occurrence of leakage AND the shower did not work. The house must be near a hospital because there were constant sirens. The only good thing about this house was the master bath.

It was ok

House had ants. Counter top had left over food on it that accumulated ants. Some things were broken in the house and I was sure to take pictures an hour after arrival to be sure I wasn’t charged. I messaged the host twice and 2 days after check out we have yet to receive any message back. The shower had hair and a soap wrapper in it which makes me believe the house was not cleaned effectively before we arrived. Overall, if the house had been cleaned it would’ve been 5 stars.

Great Property & Location, Experienced Stays NOT great.

Great house We hope to stay here again in the future!! Had a few glitches early on, but the hostess responded quickly. If staying more than a couple of nights, I would recommend bringing your own towels & washcloths (old & poor quality provided & had to request more to have enough for each person in our family) and bring a few dishwasher pods (none provided).There was no hot water at check-in which concerned me about true “cleanliness”, especially of bathrooms. The refrigerator needed some attention too.Overall, this was a wonderful place. Walking distance to both downtown LEX and the Red Mile. (The hostess said she would refund 1st night’s stay because of the issues)Update to my original rating: Emily said she would refund our 1st night because of not having towels & hot water the 1st day/ night…. I have reached out to her twice since our stay (via VRBO & text) received NO response, & we have received NO refund. We will probably select a different property next year because of honesty/integrity of this property management.Also, they required adding some app called DACK. Not sure of why since booked thru VRBO. I don’t like having extra “junk” on my phone, would rather have used just the VRBO app.

Disappointing Property

We recently stayed at Downtown Jockey-Walk in Lexington. It’s an old house that has been updated although the property is in rough shape (water stain on the kitchen ceiling, broken toilet seat, worn wood flooring, stained rugs, key pad for entry was not reliable due to low batteries, etc) and missing some essentials (e.g. one towel in the kitchen, no dish cloths, no dish soap). The house was in a good location for our purposes, relatively clean and quiet. My biggest issue is with the communication. I rented through VRBO but then was asked to download an app. Both had incomplete info about the property (e.g. what kind of coffee maker, who and how to contact someone). In addition I was getting emails from ‘Experienced Stays’ and ‘Emily’ but did not get timely responses when I emailed her. I suggest they decide on one way to communicate with customers, stick with it and be responsive.

Big picture is right

Felt very homey and a great landing pad for our family. Beds were all super comfy and everyone slept hard. House was clean enough, although there is a fair bit of wear and tear in the house and none of the bathrooms had hand soap (this was really gross and annoying considering we paid $600+ a night!) . We were very confused about which driveway belonged to the house and where to park—this would have been key info for us to have before arrival. It was only a big deal because our daughter was getting sick in the car as we pulled up and we were trying to figure out where we could park. So it was a bit stressful. (Parking is on the shared driveway on the right side of the house, and you can park behind the house.) We were required by the property manager to download a completely separate travel app to get in, but the key pad wasn’t working properly. Front door was unlocked when we arrived and my husband had to wet his finger and press really hard on key pad to get it to light up so that we could get on and out. Big picture this place has a lot of things right and we’d consider staying again, but to be fully candid, the few details mentioned above would have made a big difference to review ratings.
