"The property is just amazing and so much to do for families! The activities were just great. We loved mini golfing every evening and the arts center had so many fun projects. Don't miss the museum either, lots of great info to be learned there with great volunteers!
The lodge we stayed in didn't have air conditioning and fans didn't help much - the room stayed at around 85° so it was a bit uncomfortable. We found the food in the dining hall to be disappointing for the price. "

Our dog is so deeply loved by us, so we were definitely going to make sure we did the responsible thing as dog owners and make sure he had our full care. When we asked for a refund (or even a refund for our second night) there was a curt, dismissive “no.” The response came minutes after we reached out. If this had happened to the property owners, or the folks that work at RedAwning, they would probably be so hurt if they were treated so callously. Everyone in our network of service providers for our dog were so kind and understanding. Our boarding was cancelled without a fee and our vet bill was covered by our day care. We read all the rules for the property, including the one that says no pets allowed. We've been saving up all year for this family celebration and were hoping to settle into this home, for a weekend, as a family. Being treated like some random family and being dismissed so quickly during this time of need was so hurtful. If they wanted to, they could have supported us, but profits matter more than families."
