"The room was clean and the staff were great. The only issue was the bathroom, which had a smell so terrible that we could barely use it. It was difficult to take a shower with the sewer smell coming from the pipes. It did help eventually when we ran some water, but it was the stinkiest room I've ever stayed in. The rest was great. "The hotel is located close to the train station with regular and great value trains straight into Venice. Our room overlooked the train station but this did not affect our stay. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, assisting swiftly with any requests. The room was clean and well presented with a useful small kitchen area. Only 2 niggles - the bed was very firm and the room door needed to slammed to ensure it was shut. A decent breakfast room but it would really benefit from a proper bar area and an outdoor seating area. Trying to get a cup of English breakfast tea seemed like Mission Impossible at local bars or coffee shops but the helpful reception staff understood our simple needs and seemed to have an endless free supply. Based on price, location, standards and the staff I would return and recommend Staycity."

"This place was fantastic to the point that within about 1 hour of arriving we booked an extra night. We had to move to a smaller unit for our last night but we loved it so much we didn't care. Our first few nights we in Hu Stay XL Plus and it was awesome. So much room, AC in the bedrooms, full washroom on both sides, deck to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Our last night we stayed in the Hu Stay Smart S which is a single room with a King and single bed, washroom, and bar fridge. The office was super nice and froze our ice packs for travel the next day. Laundry facilities that are easy to use (instructions in several languages). Good restaurant and buffet breakfast. The shuttle to Venice was 2.50E each way and was very convenient. All in all, this is a fantastic place to stay for all ages. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Venice."

"We stayed at the Novotel Mestre Castellana and had a wonderful experience from the very first moment. The welcome was warm and professional, and the entire staff was always friendly, helpful, and attentive to our needs. A special thank you goes to the **GO CITY CENTER TRAVEL** transfer service to Venice city center, which we found extremely convenient and efficient. The service is prominently featured at the reception area, where there is a beautiful information corner with videos and images that immediately gives guests a clear understanding of the quality and value of the service offered. We would like to thank the entire staff for their kindness and professionalism throughout our stay. It was a very positive experience that we would gladly recommend to anyone looking to visit Venice while staying in a comfortable and well-organized hotel. Congratulations and compliments to the whole team! From the Cuban guys to our friend of City Center Travel."

"Staff very accommodating and pleasant. Room modern and clean. Requested a room safe in advance. Only rooms on the first floor have safes. They honoured our request. No kettle in room but hot water provided by reception (always very cheerful when asked). Good sound proofing in rooms so slept well. Could opt out of daily room clean (sustainability / environmental reasons) which we welcomed. Only negatives were a) blocked / super slow to drain sink and b) one super squeaky bed - maybe broken? (swapped with husband which seemed to do the trick). Large Interspar within 5mins walk (and McD's). Train and bus station within 5mins walk. Trains to Venice every 5 or 10mins for 1.50 euro each way. Journey by train is approx 10-13mins."
