Top Lómagnúpur Hotel Reviews
Magma Hotel
8/10 Good
"This property is in a lovely spot with beautiful views. It’s unique in that it has duplex little cabins that are cozy. The restaurant on site had a great dinner but mediocre breakfast- not at all what you would expect at a luxury-priced European hotel. The room had no amenities such as a robe, or lotion, water bottles, or places for suitcases. The very expensive price should come with a few extras to make you feel like the price is worth it."
Klausturhof Guesthouse
10/10 Excellent
"Good"
Hörgsland Guesthouse
8/10 Good
"The guesthouse was clean and neat. The room was tidy and bathroom was clean. Breakfast was standard buffet fare (waffle maker, yogurt, cereal, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, cheese, meat, bread, coffee, tea). Front desk staff, upon arrival, was helpful. Neighboring horses were cute and we saw our first Icelandic aurora the night we stayed here."
Hotel Skaftafell
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel staff were very friendly. We stayed in a room in a separate area from the hotel. The room was smaller but nice. Very quiet and clean and had comfortable beds. Breakfast was good and filling."
Hörgsland cottages
8/10 Good
"The cottage was good. The a/c was making a loud noise all night so a little bit annoying while sleeping. But clean and very cozy. Beautiful spot to rest. We recommand"
Hotel Klaustur
10/10 Excellent
"I booked a handful of similar looking hotels on this trip but this one truly stands out. The rooms looked and smelled clean. The showers were actually clean which is a rarity here. Dinner was excellent. It’s a gem!"
Adventure Hotel Geirland
10/10 Excellent
"Great hotel in a beautiful area. The room was spotlessly clean, a good size and with all the amenities we needed."
Adventure Hotel Hof
8/10 Good
"Large room but it did smell of mildew. Shower is large but water went everywhere. Adjacent restaurant had an excellent dinner. Front desk staff was kind enough to put our name on the list and called when the table became available. Continental breakfast was good. Great location for access to the glacier."
Hotel Laki
10/10 Excellent
"Pretty and quiet hotel several km's in country away from local community, but close enough to get to. Excellent restaurant for dinner."
