Ever dreamed of staying in a gorgeous London townhouse just seconds away from the flowing waters of the Thames, right next to the Thames Path? It doesn’t have to be just a fantasy: this four-bedroom riverside getaway is ready and waiting to deliver on the fantasy. And with its leafy private garden, sprawling bright kitchen and spacious bedrooms, it’s not just the stellar location to look forward to when staying at Thames-side Retreat.
After having your fill of strolling along the Thames, walk the 30 seconds from its banks to the threshold of this home and enter the open-plan living space. On the right, the living area welcomes you with warm colours and cosy furnishings: two large sofas beckon you in for a moment of relaxation, facing a flatscreen TV and overlooked by shelves filled to the brim with books and framed photographs. Nearby, the solid timber dining table waits to host up to six guests, sitting under both a chandelier and a large curved floor lamp.
Walk past the piano tucked away in the nook under the stairs and enter the kitchen, a veritable haven of sunlight and colour. A large skylight runs the length of the room, introducing even more natural light than is already provided by the bi-fold doors. It illuminates a spacious U-shaped kitchen, coloured in a light sage with alternating black stone and timber countertops. Containing all the amenities you’ll need, budding chefs will love honing their craft in here.
Past the intimate glass kitchen table, walk through the bi-fold doors to experience the private patio. With its jasmine bushes hugging the white-painted brick and the bespoke cushioned bench promising a spot of outdoor comfort, this space is the perfect spot to enjoy the sun.
Ascend the stairs to reach a TV room with a quaint view of the garden. The pull-out sofa in here converts to a double bed, and there’s also a wardrobe for convenience. A bathroom is next door, and features a shower, toilet and wash basin. Further along, you’ll find the principal bedroom bathed in natural light from the bay window and balcony door. A king-sized bed sits in the middle, accompanied by a chest of drawers, bedside tables and a large wardrobe.
Climb the stairs again to find a single room complete with a desk, chest of drawers and wardrobe. The final bedroom can also be found on this floor, which offers another king-sized bed sitting under a large skylight, as well as a cosy sofa and a desk. Another bathroom is adjacent, its geometric floor tiling and subway wall tiling giving it a subtle modern feel; it contains a bath with overhead shower, a toilet and a wash basin.

Home Truths:
No smoking, pets or parties. A friendly dog usually lives here. Though the dog will not be present during your stay, and the home is cleaned to an extremely high standard, the property may not be suitable for those with allergies. The washing machine is located in the kitchen. Although we always endeavour for accuracy, there may be rare occasions where the listing photography and description do not provide an exact representation of the home’s amenities.
