"I thought the price paid to Expedia was complete and no further payment was needed. While checking in, I was surprised that I was being charged for the hotel's Resort Fees. When I later looked through the Expedia fine print, it confirmed that Resort Fees were not covered. Other than that, the Ala Moana Hotel staff was wonderful and the room was great. We'll be back."

"My wife collapsed (I suspect as a result of dehydration) just after we had checked out at reception. The duty manager was there in a flash and my wife’s collapse had been observed by one of the ladies at reception, who immediately called 911. The staff were very helpful. They even arranged for my wife and I to return to the room we had just checked out of so my wife could lay down and recover after the paramedics had finished with her. Very impressed with their level of concern. Highly recommend The Wayfinder as a place to stay in Waikiki."

"Too crowded - felt like I was at Disneyland. Pools were disappointing. Beach was great but they were charging $100 a day to rent a chair and umbrella. Also they had loud construction going on right by the main pool. I would not come back again"

"Pros are its near shops and restaurants about as good as any in the city. cons would be, its just an average hotel room and if you have a rental car, you will have to pay $45 per night to park. $50 per night fee also. would be nice if that was just built in to the price so you don’t feel gouged. I wouldn’t stay there again."

"hotel was decent. 5 min walk to beach. Needs updated like new carpet & paint. Hoyrl has NO PARKING for guests. Nearest parking charged $50 per day. That was a terrible & unexpected expense."
