Left about 15 mins after l arrived. Only person there. Place closed up very dark and very spooky. Felt like being in a horror movie. Restaurant closed too. Haven't felt that uncomfortable in years.

We will be back!!
A quiet location with friendly owners and staff fulfilled our needs. The cuisine was of high quality and varied. We booked on a demi-pension basis for a week and therefore sampled several main courses which were of a high standard. Wine- wise a good selection at varying prices was available. The hotel itself was remarkable and 'dated traditional' would be a good description...a memorable experience. We have a fondness for the place, and the people, and will definitely be returning.

Very tranquil location
It was fine for an overnight stop and could also be good for a touring base as very relaxed if some what dated ( what we like!). Food was also good quality.

Lovely country location
Very nice but hotel was let down by very poor food. Same poorly cooked vegetables every night with no choice. Quite a few maintenance problems need addressing.The location is superb with lots to do & see in the surrounding area.

Wonderful Hotel staff and owner could not have been more helpful. The setting was lovely,lake and grounds could not have been better We had a ,lovely two days stay,and would go back again with the family

A real find; away from the crowds and yet so conveniently placed for sightseeing in the Perigord
This is an excellent hotel for relaxing away from the crowds and yet less than 10 miles from the honey pot of Brantome. The Etang (lake) is not blue but green but that is the only disappointment. The large dining room looks as though the furnishings all came from an ancient hunting lodge but the staff are friendly and the food is excellent. A lot of money has been spent on the bedrooms- sleigh beds and fresh toile curtains. If you have a choice pay the extra Euro's for a lakeside room with balcony.
