Top Mauna Kea Visitor Information Station Hotel Reviews
Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham
4/10 Poor
"I thought it was good that the hotel was near the airport. The hotel generally looked old and dingy, parking spaces are too small, tile trim falling off, shower curtain didn’t extend the length of the shower, the complimentary soap next to the sink was hard to wash off, the lanai furniture was old and felt dirty. We were located on the beach side 4th floor of the hotel and it was unappealing to see the roof below with the paint peeling. I understand that your hotel was sold out on the day we arrived and I’m not sure if the demand determines the price per night, but at $355 per night, I’ll probably go to an Airbnb next time."
"Such a wonderful property. We had a small research team and needed a collective space for convening. It a was a genuine delight to think together in such a calm and well-appointed space."
"Stayed in the Legacy Suite and loved every minute of it! Didn’t want to leave. Can’t beat the views. Really appreciated having our own porch area off the bedroom. Photos show that yes the bathroom is a tad dated, but the house is nearly 100. Cmon. It was LOVELY. Everything worked. Our hosts were very communicative. I know some commented about the “signs everywhere with rules”… I don’t know. It did not feel overdone and I personally appreciated the notes so I was able to respect their home and have minimal to no misunderstandings. The detailed messages were so helpful for us. Very detailed, clear and easy to understand. The driveway is a bit tight, but maneuvering it gets easier. The property is unforgettable! "
"What an incredible place! Our room was clean, comfortable and well devoted. The attention to detail from the game room to the Coy pond made this one of our favorite places to stay. The view of the ocean is lovely."
"The room was very comfortable and clean. The patio area had a wonderful view of the ocean and foliage. It was a nice quiet setting after a long day of exploring the island. I will definitely be back on my next visit to the island."
"This is a very nice place to stay. Close to shopping, Starbucks, Foodliner and restaurants. Tucked just off the main road into Waimea. Very friendly staff. Clean, airy room. All recently remodeled."
