"We were told that check in was until 8pm, no exceptions. So we organized our entire day to ensure we were there by 8pm. An hour later, reception was checking in somebody else, so clearly exceptions were made for some, but not us. Didn't leave us with a good feeling. "It is a lovely quiet hotel. The only slight reservation was the restaurant where the breakfast food was often cold/lukewarm and a little more choice (occasional curry?) would be well received. The Zen pool is lovely though the bar was never open in the morning which would have been nice."
