Here's another from Dec. 31, a repeat visitor. "My husband and I have been coming to Mentone for many years, and our son and his friend came with us. We enjoyed the Christmas decor and the cottage was very clean. Located across the Brow we got to see some great views and a beautiful sunset. Enjoyed shopping and eating at some great restaurants too. We will be coming back and hopefully stay at Moonflower Cottage."

We invite you to come visit Mentone at Moonflower Cottage. Mentone is a charming little town in northeast Alabama, just a few miles north of Fort Payne and 45 miles from Chattanooga. It was recently named one of the top 24 small towns in America. It sits atop Lookout Mountain, where the views are not only spectacular but there are wonderful places for hiking, the 104-foot DeSoto Falls just three miles away, and we are close to DeSoto State Park. The flora and fauna are spectacular year around and Moonflower is an easy 1/4-mile walk to the heart of Mentone, where there are charming stores and restaurants and more on the way. Be sure to visit the nonprofit Mentone Arts Center, as well as Elevation Bistro, Wildflower Cafe, the Mentone Market, The Hatter Restaurant and other specialty stores in town and nearby.

Moonflower Cottage will be the star of the your visit. Imagine being surrounded by antique furniture and oriental rugs, granite countertops and stainless appliances, two king en suites with full baths, and a fully equipped kitchen that's been described as "extraordinary."

The screened back porch offers gentle breezes, comfortable wicker furniture and a dining table for six. The front porch has four rocking chairs and it's the best place on earth to see incredible sunsets.

Adorable Cottage

With it's two king suites, Moonflower Cottage is the perfect getaway home for two couples. The decor is beautiful and the host has provided everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It rained off and on during our time there, but we stayed dry and enjoyed visiting on the spacious screened porch. The beds are comfortable and we slept well each night after enjoying some time in Mentone. The host was thoughtful and easy to communicate with. Definitely a 5 star property!

Great rental and view!

The space was very charming and comfortable and the view was spectacular. The Episcopal church down the road is really lovely and the De Soto Falls hike was nice. We missed our dogs, though, and will unfortunately be looking for a new place that allows pets if we come back, but it was a great location and a VERY lovely getaway!

Amazing stay!!

This should be listed as a super host. The property, location, correspondence, and all the extra touches were wonderful! We ate breakfast on the screen porch every morning and made sure we were home every night to watch the sunset. We would highly recommend this property!!

Happy in Mentone

This our third trip to Mentone. We love the sunsets on the brow, and its not crowded. We come here to relax and enjoy the great food and residents who live here. We always feel welcome when we visit.

The Best in Mentone

Always enjoy staying at this cottage which is so accommodating for Seniors with easy access to enter, comfortable recliner(s), comfortable K. bed(s), and easily accessible shower with handicap chair. Nice screen back porch and rocking chair(s) front porch with a beautiful view!

Will Definitely Be Back!!!

We needed a long weekend as a family and Mentone is one of our favorite little towns. Ben was absolutely phenomenal from the beginning. He gave us great recommendations on things to do/places to eat. The cottage was wonderful. Well equipped, nicely decorated, and the views at Brow Park across the street were AMAZING!! We will definitely be staying here on our next Mentone trip!

Little Bit of Heaven

The cottage was fantastic! Great front porch view of the mountains! Great back porch wooded view from a beautiful screened in porch. Great location to restaurants and activities. The cottage was extremely clean and was very tastefully decorated. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back again!

We loved this cottage!

The cottage was absolutely beautiful…pictures don’t do it justice! ! The views were gorgeous! I loved the gas fireplace…it was mesmerizing! I could sit and watch it for hours. The cottage was super clean. We loved it and can’t wait to go back!
