"It was my first stay in Dominica. This accomodation has been hands down top tier. Amazing service. It feels like a home away from home. It felt like i was in a secluded area enjoying the beauty of nature in Dominica. As for the chef!!! I cant begin to explain the burst of flavors of each meal. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner and all were above expectations. No artificial flavoring. It was pure seasonings freshly picked each meal. I am coming back for sure. "Berkey himself is a gracious, helpful, and thoughtful host. His communications are excellent and once there, he will be there for you. He attends to details and has pride in this hideaway. It requires a walk up ~40 steep steps but once on top, your are in a beautiful valley with wildlife and jungle sounds. Accommodations are basic but sufficient, if you are looking for an experience more like Dominica than a luxury hotel, Berkey's place is fine. Access to the property is straightforward and the location is ideal for short or all-day trips to the many local attractions. "

"The address was not correct, it leads us to the hospital, I had to ask for directions. When the men arrived at the bottom of the stairs, they were sitting and never responded to the "hello", maybe because of my complexion, whatever, I didn't try to say hello again after that. The maids was nice and polite. "
