The Golden Lion was absolutely wonderful and we will stay here again the next time I come to Bridgnorth to visit my musician friends. The room was surprisingly large and bathroom up to date for the historical age of the building. It was very relaxed, they served a lovely traditional UK breakfast and accommodated my gluten free needs as well as flexibility on our check in time due to a rehearsal I had to get to. This was our second stay at The Hundred House and once again they were utterly wonderful. It's a beautiful location, a stunning historical building, with faultless hospitality and exceptional food. The location is perfect for Ironbridge, the RAF museum at Cosford, or Telford itself, and compared to the prices of boring chain hotels in the area it is staggeringly good value. I'm sure we'll be back again in the future.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They have a great cafe and breakfast is included in your stay. You can park at the railway station close by and take a shortcut to the property. Room was lovely. You need to be able to go up stairs.
