"Lovely hotel nice grounds, air con in rooms was excellent during our stay although the rooms could do with some redecoration."

"The staff and breakfast were great. The room was clean; however, it was very hot as the hotel does not have air-conditioning and it was unusually warm and we were only provided a small fan. A larger or additional fan would have been helpful. Also, the TV did not work, but we did not spend much time in the room due to the warm temperature."

The Devil's Punchbowl Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"So close to the centre of town, yet with the feeling of being away from things. The PunchBowl is just a few hundred meters up the road and well worth the short walk to see the views. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and functional accommodation, good beer selection and cellar maintenance, but had to leave early each morning so wasn't able to sample the breakfast :-("

Asperion Hotel

"We stayed at the Asperion for one night, for my daughter's graduation & found it very clean, staff very friendly & helpful. It was perfect for what we wanted as we were actually only in the room for about 12 hours. The bed was SO comfortable, it was the best nights sleep I had had in this heat for a while !!! They had put a fan on in the room for us which we were very grateful for. The rooms are not the biggest but all we needed was a bed and shower, so perfect. The en suite is a little small, but the shower was great & it was very clean. I can't coment on the breakfast as we didn't have it. But if you book at the hotel you receive a 50% discount. You do have to order what you would like the night before and a time, but if you're heading out this shouldn't be a problem. It's location is great and easy to get to from the train station (just a 10 minute walk). I would highly recommend this as a comfortable, friendly clean hotel to rest your head."
