Romantic and cosy cottage, countryside views, near to the beach and mountains
10/10 Excellent
"We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful, cozy cottage. It’s a true haven of tranquility, perfectly positioned with superb coastal walks right on your doorstep – ideal for peaceful rambles along the shore and soaking in the fresh sea air.The cottage itself is charming and wonderfully comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing escape. The log-burning stove was a highlight, especially on cooler evenings. Gary was an absolute star – he kindly delivered wood for the fire and was always available at any time if we needed anything. His friendly, helpful nature made us feel so welcome and looked after. This place is a genuine peaceful gem, the perfect spot to get away from the chaos of everyday life and just unwind. We can’t recommend it highly enough! And don’t miss a visit to the Victoria Inn pub – great atmosphere, lovely food, and the ideal place for a cozy pint or meal after a day exploring the coast. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you for a memorable stay."

Sea View Holiday Cottage Porthmadog
10/10 Excellent
"Very lovely holiday cottage with beautiful sea views. The apartment was immaculate and very comfortable and provided everything that we needed for our four night stay. Parking is very close to the cottage for ease of unpacking, and Porthmadog town is only a short walk away. We went on some lovely coast walks starting from the cottage, and a visit to nearby Portmeirion Village that is only a five minute drive away. A very relaxing outlook from the lounge window directly onto the sea was the icing on the cake. We will definitely be returning!"

Royal Goat Hotel
8/10 Good
"Hotel very quiet as we were there out of season. Nice welcome, pleasant staff. Our room was quite old fashioned (but is is a very old hotel so in keeping with that) but big with a comfortable king size bed, plenty of drawer space, but only space to hang clothes on a rail or hooks in the corner of the room. We had a setee, TV, a tea/coffee station with biscuits. We had 2 oil heaters in the bedroom which were needed as the room was quite cold even though the old fashioned radiator was on, it was in a bay window and behind the thick curtains at night. We had a large ensuite bathroom which was up 2 stairs. Very clean but both the bathroom light and the shaver light did not work. We informed the staff and they double checked immediately and then offered us to change rooms as it wouldn't be fixed until Monday. We were quite happy to stay in the room and manage but they couldn't apologise enough. Resteraunt/bar area very nice. Food was good but limited menu. Breakfast was OK, choices of juice, teas, coffees, cereals and jams, toast and several choices of cooked breakfasts. We didn't have a long wait to be served as we were the only guests eating/drinking and staying at the hotel. Hotel car park is over the road but it not very big and can get busy in season as the public can park there too, so give your registration number on your arrival. Bus stop just by the hotel, 2 minutes to walk into the village. Plenty of local footpaths. Beddgelert station 2 mins away. "

Hotel Portmeirion & Castell Deudraeth
6/10 Okay
"The staff were all lovely.
There was a Porsche event. We were most definitely ‘extras’ to this event. Breakfast in particular. Couldn’t find our booking? Assumed with Porsche event and once explaining (both mornings) that we were just regular guests we were then sat in a seperate area. Very strange experience . Staff were lovely none the less, John in particular.
At arrival, again once explained we were not with the Porsche event, we were told to drive down to the guest car park and the porter would see us to our room. No idea where this porter was? No instructions. Found Elvin at the gate and he kindly called a porter for us. "
