"There has never been an issue when staying here. It is definitely one of our go-to hotels when we visit Ottawa. This trip was a solo trip to pick-up our son from school. We appreciate that the location of this hotel is situated right off the highway making this property convenient and easy to locate. The staff are wonderful and always helpful. The room was clean and spacious enough. Beds are comfortable. Amenities are just what we need and never an issue to receive more if needed. Breakfast is plentiful with a nice variety of choices. Definitely will stay here again."

Comfort Inn Kanata Ottawa West

"Lorsque l'hôtel est plein, prendre le petit déjeuner relève d'un exploit digne d'un marathon. Espace trop restreinte pour le nombre de chambres. Dans la chambre ou nous étions, la climatisation faisait un bruit d'enfer! Impossible de la faire fonctionner en notre présence dans la chambre."

"Good bed and bathroom, but the doors let a lot of noise in from the hall and adjacent rooms. There were also several kids running up and down the hall from at least 11:30 PM to 1 AM, we told staff and they did stop running for 2 minutes. So not upset with staff, I just wish the sound proofing was better... And that kids remain supervised in public areas."

"It’s a wonderful property but they only give out bottled water in the rooms to reward members. You would expect the $1 water bottle to be included with the room for such a nice hotel. Even motels include water. Outside of that, the hotel and staff were fantastic."

The British Hotel

"The Hotel is in an old building that looks nicely maintained. There's a pub there, a coffee shop/cafe, and some nice outdoor patio/seating areas. There is no hotel staff on site. We did not receive the check in instructions before our arrival and had to scramble with help from the restaurant staff and a property manger for some apartments attached to the hotel to help us (the mix up may have been by the remote hotel management staff or and issue with Expedia messaging). The room was bleak, very inexpensive furniture and beds, with primer paint patches on a few walls and a 5 cm diameter hole in another. After placing the booking, the hotel had messaged us about street noise, particularly on the weekends. It would be nice if they let you know that before booking as if seems like the agreed upon smoking section was right below our room. We would not stay there again. It's a shame, because the property (other than the actual room) is pretty nice and it's a cute little town with a nice downtown and some decent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The lack of staff on site is also an issue for us; one of the advantages of a hotel is having that support. Without it, you might as well find a short term rental."
