"I was concerned when I first booked this spot because it was a little removed from Siena or Florence. It was the BEST decision I made on our journey through Italy. The family was amazing! The weee extremely pleasant and helpful. They gave us great ideas on where to eat, cities to visit and excursions to do. Ettore set us up with reservations at a local restaurant that was amazing! "Staff very helpful, hotel was fine but very dated. The bathroom felt a little bit grubby. Had a few issues with the keys which were eventually solved, but no major problems. Good location, near to a major bus stop to go into central Siena. It’s worth noting that buses are quite unreliable in the evening so you may have to get a taxi back to the hotel (10-12 euros ish)."

"The hotel was amazing and the included breakfast was extensive and delicious. Be sure to rent the old Fiat for a drive around Tuscany. You will need to figure out your transportation to the hotel since it’s a bit remote. If you are from the United States and you plan on renting a car in Italy be sure to get your “international driving permit” in advance and bring with you."
