"Quiet hotel with beautiful views. The staff was helpful and nice. It was nice to have complementary breakfast included and the options were great. I also like that there was a restaurant to have dinner at with great options and good food. I made a mistake and had 2 different bookings. I liked the main hotel and room and would stay there again. The other room was ok, but I would not chose to stay in the port side rooms again."

"We stayed at Breakwater in October 2023 with two young families. The apartment is well stocked and worked well for two couples with three kids under 4. Luke was super accomodating and provided us with pack n plays and a high chair, and was also very responsive. Location is great - walk across the street to the harbor to check out boats and birds, or walk down to the village for breakfast or dinner. We loved our stay in Southwest Harbor and at Breakwater. "Our family of 5 loved our stay! Perfect location on Main Street, could walk to shop and drive into Acadia in 10 min. Hotel was super clean, delicious breakfast with gluten free options, and my kids loved a dip in the pool after a long day of hiking. "It is a nice place to stay in the middle price range to visit Acadia National Park. Breakfast is a good continental breakfast with plenty of options. Cookies by front desk are yummy. Approximately 5-7 minute drive to Acadia National Park, very convenient and it wasn’t super crowded when we were there. My only complaint to give 4 stars instead of 5 is that the a/c didn’t work great. "

"Love the staff- helpful, friendly and so efficient The room was clean and spacious and quiet but you do hear footsteps from the top floor walking around. I think I would have preferred to be in the main building vs the annex building across. Very narrow stair case going up. But, overall it's nice."
