"We are three people in our 70’s and really enjoyed our stay at Cecil’s Chair for seven nights. It was quite cold at night however and it would have been great if there had been heat lamps in the both bathrooms as it was very cold using the bathrooms. Some other information is that there’s no electric blankets on the beds and we were unable to light the slow combustion fire as there was no kindling or starting wood and the wood provided was cut into very large logs. Luckily we didn’t need the fire as there was no central heating was warm enough.Other than those few things we would highly recommend Cecil’s Chair Cottage."

"Such a pretty cottage and very quiet and cosy.Very well equipped and everything worked..we struggled with the coffee machine though so a few more steps in the instructions might have got us there. Theres no shortage of local cafes so we didnt suffer withdrawal!Communication with Linda the host was efficient and warm. She let us know that we didnt need to check out early on the Sunday which gave us a lovely relaxing morning too.Great weekend and would strongly recommend."

"The house and the location is amazing. The host had provided a generous amount of toiletries. The views from the place was absolutely stunning. Only dislikes were:Carpets were dates and dirty, could do with a good steam clean.Heater had a hard time coping due to its age and if you have the fireplace on then the heater doesn't heat the rest of the rooms since the thermostat is near the fireplace."

"The stairs leading to the property was an obstacle, the parking spot is hard to get out from, as it is very narrow and stepy, specially in early morning when the weather is foggy, u cant control ur way out "
