"Our stay at the Nesean Plaza was so nice. This stay was a part of our Honeymoon. We got a bottle of champagne and a plate with fresh fruit when we arrived! The staff was very kind. And most important, the room was so clean! We got clean towels everyday. Breakfast was a buffet and had enough optione to choose from. If we go to Crete (Heraklion) we would stay in this hotel again. "Property requests digital checkin, but you can provide pp & cc info after arrival. Requested same & staff provided access codes to property & room, with credentials check after. Ample breakfast is in common area at requested time. Narrow driveway to front door enables convenient bag drop, but hotel dedicated parking is just down the street. Several supermarkets and good restaurants a short walk away. Each of the 6 rooms is unique and pics of our room were just as experienced. This a beautifully restored old home, and thus has the common island ‘no toilet paper in toilet’ restriction."

"This is an absolutely charming house bursting with character but at the same time very practical to live in. It is as pretty as the photographs suggest. There has obviously been careful thought as to what visitors would need in the house to make the stay enjoyable.We found it to be quiet with just the normal life of a village going on around us. In particular we loved the completely private pool with a lovely view, and the front courtyard, which ensured there was always somewhere sunny or shady, depending on your needs.Stelios was particularly helpful with recommendations both before and during our visit.It is quite possible with a car to visit as far west as Rethimno, East to Agios Nikolaos (we liked Kritsa with it's crafts and frescoes) and as far south as Phaestos, which I preferred to Knossos as it was so much more atmospheric.Heraklion itself is an easy 25 minute drive and the port carparks always had spaces, were inexpensive, and an easy walk to the old town and fantastic museum.All in all a lovely base to visit that part of Crete."

"We absolutely loved Arcasa. The villa was beautiful, stylish, clean and comfortable. The outside area was private with high quality sun loungers and patio furniture. Everything that you need is in the villa. We arrived late and Michael very kindly left us some food and water to get us through to the next day when shops would be open. Lovely cleaners came everyday to empty bins etc. The town is fabulous, we enjoyed a coffee in the square every morning and fresh bread from one of the bakeries. You won’t find many tourists here, it’s mainly local which is what we loved. There are lots of lovely restaurants in the town serving amazing Greek food. Just be aware that the walk down to the town is very steep and getting back up is a workout after dinner. We were fine with it but definitely not for anyone with mobility issues, take your car instead, once down the hill the town is flat. We loved Arcasa and Archanes and will be back"

"Staying here was the highlight of our trip to Greece. We were here with two college aged children. We did the wine tour, which was fabulous! The breakfast is to die for! The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had an epic experience. Only two things to be aware of... 1. There were a number of slow moving, hard shelled small bugs. We realized it was just part of being in the middle of a vineyard and my husband and son made a game of how many they scooped up and released outside each evening. 2. One of the twin beds squeaks a lot. Thankfully my daughter was a good sport about it. And it didn't detract from the 99% of the stay that was amazing! Hope you create beautiful family memories there like we did!"
