"The bottom floor with the sauna, onsen and showers was incredible. There was a staff only door which was a little concerning near the bedrooms (which do not have a lock) but my group did not have any issues during our stay. The check in was a little troubling, we get there at night."

"My room was clean and spacious. The staff are extremely kind and helpful but also very hands off, giving you lots of privacy and freedom. The space is quirky and cool! Definitely a unique place to stay with local character- no frills onsen open to guests and not trying to be something its not. I would definitely come back here if I am ever in Hakone. Thank you so much"

"First time staying with Rakuten. The check in process was a bit weird at first but overall very easy. You check in on a tablet in the room and then you connect to an operator who finalizes your check in. You get a PIN code to enter the room was… pretty easy. The unit was spotless. Very clean. Had everything you need in the kitchen. The onsen was nice. Only thing missing was a view. "
