"The property is relatively huge and everything is well-equipped. You will feel safe using the items they provide. The bath on basement is extremely huge and iconic for relaxation. Negatives are that you won’t have much space to open up your luggage. "

"This was recommended to us by our tour guides in Japan and it is a fantastic hotel. The food in the restaurant caters to every background and everything we tried was delicious. The hotel is older but has heritage and a great vibe because of it, and is very clean. The service was excellent as well. I went for a run one morning in the surrounding area and it is very quiet and enjoyable for a morning run or walk. Highly recommended in a very quiet "town" of Hakone."

"Really great furnishings. We enjoyed the indoor onsen, which was already on for us at the right temperature when we arrived. The property has a manual in English which allowed us to understand how to operate all of the major appliances like the microwave oven and the washer / dryer. The check-in process was the most involved of any property we stayed in in Japan."

"Very cheap with private indoor and outdoor onsen. You will need to reserve but it’s very easy. Location is 20 minute walk from the tram or 5 minute walk from bus station. Very far up in the mountains will be very expensive taxi I would recommend taking bus or tram. Facility is not the cleanest and rooms aren’t the nicest but the price is very good for what you get. Only major complaint is the pillows which are just bags with rice lol."
