Nye Beach, Close to everything, Ocean View!

You can bum, bum, bum around in your tee shirt, board shorts and flip flops at the Beach Bum-Galow in Newport, Oregon! This cozy two bedroom, one bath flat, with fun décor and a beachy vibe, is the lower level of a duplex nestled in beautiful pines and a quiet neighborhood. One bedroom has a king bed and a television for late night movie watching. The second bedroom has a comfy queen bed. They both share a full bathroom in the hall. With a spacious open concept living area and a kitchen that's ready for cooking, Beach Bum-Galow has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation. On a stormy day, curl up and watch TV or enjoy the free WiFi! There are views of the ocean from the living room and the front porch. Located near a great spot to learn how to surf, you can bring your surfboard and be totally gnarly in the surf, sand and sea. Just a short walk to a neighborhood beach access and you can enjoy the beach vibe all day long!

Plan to enjoy the local microbrews, the fresh catch of the day, a dungeness crab, or your own homemade picnic on the beach. This is the perfect starting point for many days of exploring Newport and the central Oregon coast.

Sleeps up to 6 - 2 Bedrooms,1 King (can be split into 2 twins with 72 hours advance notice), 1 Queen, 1 Full Sofa Sleeper, 1 Bath.
Vehicles: Licensed for 2 (Strictly enforced)
Standard: 2 night minimum; Summer & Holidays: 3-4 night minimum.​​​​​​​

Age Requirement: The primary registered guest must be at least 26 years of age. The majority of guests must be over 25, or children under adult supervision.
*Each home is individually owned. Amenities and furnishings are subject to change at any time. Please contact our office with any questions.

This home does not allow cat guests or other non-human, non-canine visitors. Dogs are welcome at this home but must be registered in advance and paid prior to arrival. This home has a 1 dog maximum occupancy! Pet Guests: One time $35+tax fee. Pet fees are not included in the original reservation.

Perfect quaint beach getaway

This cute little apartment like space is perfect for a getaway weekend! Loved everything about it…except maybe the living room furniture. It wasn’t super comfy, which was probably ok- because it made us get out and go walk on the beach!

Can't see the beach

The view advertised must have been from the upper portion of the house. The hot tub was unuseable for the first day. The sheets were dirty there was a cutting board ( difficult to locate. and required washing before we could sleep on them.

Great Property

We absolutely loved our stay in Newport! The location was great, house was clean and comfortable, and the hot tub was wonderful. We arrived after dark, so it was a little difficult to find, but once we made it we had no problem finding it after our further daily adventures. I would highly recommend this rental!

Property good. Property manager has a rule you can’t check in until 5 pm. That is the latest check in time we have ever had. Other VRBO rentals we’ve had in the past has been earlier than 5. Hotels are earlier than 5.

Smiths Get-Away

It was perfect for us! Really appreciate the dog, friendly atmosphere. We like to bring our own groceries and cook so we did that a few times. Also visited a few restaurants. Everything was great!

Weekend Getaway

The house is very cute and view of the ocean is beautiful. There were lots of little flies in the house which were a little bothersome. I looked for a fly swatter but couldn't find one. Thank you for having a coffee pot...that is a main staple in my morning routine. Everything was comfortable and cozy. One kitchen cabinet door next to the oven is coming off the hinge (just FYI). We ended up not bringing the dog, not sure if the cost can be adjusted. Thank you for hosting us. We had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the house!

Comfortable home with nice views

Check in was very easy, though the cleaning crew was not finished by check in time so we explored the neighborhood for 15 minutes while waiting. The only issue we encountered during the stay was the kitchen sink was clogged. The unit itself is on the bottom floor, spacious and has a great hot tub with a view of the Pacific. I was under the impression that it was within walking distance of beach access, but it is not. It’s a short drive to the beaches, but the parking can be challenging. Overall, it’s a nice house and we would stay again.

great place to stay

loved the house, it was very clean and everything worked! hot tub was easy to use and so we did, every single night! kitchen had everything we needed. great view! the neighborhood did not have the best streets (gravel) but other than that it was fabulouse!

Great spot for family weekend

We came to Newport for a baseball tournament this last weekend and stayed in this little gem. The house was spacious, clean, well stocked and just right for my family of 4 and our dog.

Lovely Newport Home

We had a lovely few days by the beach here. We really appreciated the layout and how well appointed the house is. The hot tub and views are amazing, especially the views from the hot tub. The beach is a nice, easy walk away. Great location and amenities overall!

Beach Bungalow

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay very much. The place was hard to find but the property manager assisted us promptly. We were unsure of the parking arrangement as well and the property assited us promptly. The tenant upstairs was kinda noisy but nothing we needed to complain about. Overall our stay was wonderful and we appreciated to be able to be so close to the ocean like we were at home! There were also games available to play which we enjoyed as well! And the hot tub was great to be in and over look then ocean! We will be back definitely and maybe try a other location.

PROS - Interior and indoor amenities very good. Jacuzzi a plus and very clean. Outdoor grill in open space ready to go. No landscaping/yard to speak of. CONS - Parking is a nightmare. If you have a big truck or anything bigger than a Subaru, forget it. Your nose will be sticking out in the alley. A 2nd car has to park a block away. Load/unload difficult. Expensive. Will look harder next time.

Quiet neighborhood

This rental is off the beaten path. Very quiet neighborhood. Had everything we needed for our stay. Very clean. Really liked being close to agate beach for our daily walks with our dog, which was just a short drive from the rental. Would stay there again.

Perfect small group get-away!

Our family spent Spring Break at this property. We enjoyed playing games, soaking in the hot tub, watching the ocean waves, and proximity to Newport amenities. The property was clean and kitchen well stocked with supplies. Parking only available for one vehicle and there is limited space/yard for dogs, but overall a GREAT stay!
