I highly recommend booking the half board plan, as the meals are a true culinary experience. This is also a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in Japanese culture. From the traditional meals and serene onsen to the refined atmosphere and heartfelt service, everything reflects the spirit of Japan. The hotel offers a convenient shuttle bus (better to book in advance), and there’s even a swimming pool if you feel like taking a dip. The location is quiet and scenic—perfect for a peaceful getaway. I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s not just a stay—it’s a cultural experience, made truly memorable by the warmth and hospitality of the staff. I would love to return!"

"Very good. Staff were so nice and helpful. The onsen facilities were lovely. The room was lovely and clean. There’s a short uphill walk to the hotel from the bus or train station so be sure to call the hotel upon arrival to arrange a shuttle collection. "

"Staff were helpful and explained everything about the rooms in the ryokan including how to use their jacuzzi shower. you can choose a pillow to suit you and they will deliver to the room. Transport pick up and drop off were also very fast and efficient. Dinner was fabulous! Best beef I had ever eaten! "

"The actual onsen within the resort was excellent especially the non circulating fresh hot spring option. The room given to us was huge and have access to the garden. There was an actual tatami section to sleep and a separate room with western style beddings. The washroom was ginormous including a classy jacuzzi. We had the breakfast option but it was decent at best. If you are looking for a flavorfull experience, you might be disappointed but the experience itself was excellent. As for food, options are limited around the area and in my opinion, not worth the value and they close early. Expect convenient store food if you are on a budget. The actual property itself is very beautiful and clean throughout. It’s absolutely tranquil. However, sound proofing is poor. If there are noisy walkers and talkers above your room, you will hear them. Overall, i will revisit as it offered my family some unforgettable memories. "
