"We loved the old authentic experience of the house. It had a lot of space and is located in an excellent area. On the downside, the kitchen sink is the only place to wash your hands after using the toilet which is pretty gross. Because there is only one sink to wash vegetables, do the dishes, drink water, shave, and clean your hands… the area gets pretty crowded. The beds are also substandard, just old mattresses on the ground. It would make a lot more sense to have a few rooms using Japanese...

We arrived early, and the host was very accommodating to allow us to drop off our baggage while the property was being prepared and while we explored the city. This property worked very well for our family as we explored Tokyo. "Spacious. It is a whole house, two bedrooms upstairs and living area downstairs. One bedroom has two double beds and the other has one. Everything worked, fish oven can be used as toaster. A/C was very effective. Beds comfortable, plenty of towels. No tourists in this neighborhood. Things to be aware of: you must climb stairs to get to living area and to bedrooms above that. Stairs from living area to bedrooms are twisty-a bannister would be nice although they are not as common in Japan. House...

"Mr. Kusunoki is such a pleasant man. He sent us the best routes to get to places on multiple occasions, and shared with us many spots to go. He used his many connections to get us discounts on watches, and informed us the cheapest way to buy train tickets, and amusement park tickets. If we come back to Tokyo, we will be staying here again."
