Search Residences in Northern Madeira

This is an amazing place for those who wish to explore the north coast of Madeira and stay in a very comfortable, quiet setting. The service and attentiveness of the staff here is top notch, and you can have all the privacy that you desire. Breakfast is very good and if you want Theresa to prepare dinner for you then you just let her know ahead (that morning) and you will not regret it! She is a very good cook and it’s affordable and delicious. There are also restaurants within walking...

Property was immaculate. Great views. Customer service responded quickly. Having a kitchen on site, parking, decent size fridge/freezer and coffee machine… all big bonuses. Only downside was the laundry machine and dryers were very small and even after drying for an hour our clothes were still wet. Overall, I would stay again but don’t depend on the laundry facilities being fast. 😅

This was my second time staying at Cliff bay and it was even more exceptional than the first. The have very low employee turnover so you are remembered which was very nice:-) The food is world class and the accommodations were amazing, I am already planning my next visit!!!

The hotel is situated in the country, near tall trees and grape vines, convenient to hiking in that part of Madeira. The views were lovely. The staff were helpful and friendly. For the 3 of us, the room was a bit crowded, but okay.

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madeira. It had everything our family needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip—from the well-equipped kitchenette and espresso machine to the thoughtful touch of a collapsible drying rack for swimsuits and towels. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always eager to help. The hotel itself was spotless, and it was clear that cleanliness and guest comfort are top priorities. Breakfast was...

The rooms were clean . The vie and location were excellent .

The staff was amazing, and so responsive to any question I had or anything that I needed. I loved the property. It was beautiful with stunning views of the water and the natural pools. Every room is ocean front in the views were amazing my favorite part of the trip was the incredible breakfast Buffet each morning, the amount type and quality of food that was served was unmatched. I just can’t talk about the breakfast enough lol. I also had a spa service which was so relaxing and felt so good and...

Overall, we had a great stay! The hotel was lovely and offered excellent amenities, including a pool, sauna, steam room, and an excellent breakfast buffet. The location was also great, and we really enjoyed how peaceful and uncrowded the hotel felt during what appeared to be the off-season. At times, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The main downside was that the rooms felt a little dated, and the walls seemed quite thin. We could hear conversations from the room next door so clearly...

This property is charming. The rooms are very comfortable. The bed is comfortable and housekeeping does an excellent job. My room was cleaned everyday. The breakfast that is included was delicious. A nice variety of breakfast foods. Natalie does not speak very much English so it is hard to communicate but send a message through the Expedia app and you get an immediate response. Great stay and close to the beach and the natural pools. It is good to do your research of things in the area...

Excellent property! The hotel is in a beautiful, quiet village surrounded by amazing views. Feels like you’re in Santorini! Staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions. The hotel has pricing for affordable rentals cars, much cheaper than what we paid. Definitely worth staying at if you want to be away from the city.

This is a lovely quinta in a gorgeous setting. The hotel receptionist/waitress was extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The room was big and comfortable.

2 week stay. 2nd visit. Upgraded to balcony rooms facing the mountains with water view. Never gets tiring.

Wonderful spot in Santana with great views, wonderful pool and hot tub set up, and an incredibly friendly staff who really make it amazing.

The views from the ocean view are amazing. Beautiful location too. Rooms are older and quite dated yet very clean and a great balcony. We’d stay again for sure.
