"Our recent two-night stay at this Wingate by Wyndham location was very disappointing and reflected a number of maintenance and operational issues that should have been addressed before guests were assigned to the room.
We booked a king room with a sofa bed, but were given only a standard king room. The front desk provided a rollaway cot as a workaround, which required us to rearrange the room to make space.
Compounding the issue, the elevator was not working and we were assigned a room on the 5th floor, which was difficult while traveling with two children and luggage.
The room itself had several clear maintenance problems that suggested it had not been properly checked prior to our arrival. These included a bathroom faucet that broke off, making the sink difficult to use, a cracked refrigerator that made a constant ticking noise that disrupted sleep, not enough towels provided, incorrect time on both the microwave and the clock, visible baseboard damage, and a lamp with no bulb.
To be fair, the front desk staff member was polite and tried to assist, but many of these issues point to larger property maintenance and quality control concerns that management should address. Guests should reasonably expect that rooms are properly inspected, functional, and match the room type that was booked.
Hopefully management takes steps to resolve these issues so future guests have a better experience than we did."
