"Lovely setting, plentiful breakfast w lots of choice (no rotten or mouldy food while I was there, to address earlier reviews).
Staff are very helpful and the grounds are beautiful.
It’s not central, but is good value. Easy access to public transportation.
Kitchen is clean and well equipped and breakfast meal service is good."
"Sommerro is a modern, well-designed five-star hotel in a convenient location — close to public transport and walking distance to the harbor. The hotel has good dining options, and the breakfast was excellent. A great choice for a comfortable stay in Oslo."

10/10 Excellent
"Thanks for AC, fan and the lounge! Lounge room is thoughtfully designed for all traveller's needs, even those who work while traveling. Quite street yet walkable distance. "
"Superb hotel, location and staff are highlights. Bed was a bit too soft for my taste, but maybe that is a regional preference. Breakfast was delightful and varied, summit bar has creative and delicious cocktails, knowledgeable mixologists. Staff was professional, courteous, and security minded, but also friendly, helpful and informative."
"We are frequent international travelers. Loved the location and the service! The location was a short walk from public transport and in a cozy, quiet neighborhood. The front desk staff were friendly and attentive to our needs, especially after a long international flight. The breakfast buffet was well worth the splurge with an incredible amount of variety. We will stay here again! "
"Great Budget Stay with Beautiful Views – But Plan for Transportation.
I stayed at the HI Oslo Haraldsheim Hostel and had a comfortable and pleasant experience overall. The hostel offers a free breakfast each morning, which is a great way to start the day. There are also snacks and drinks available for purchase in the lobby.
The rooms are clean and come with a sink, while restrooms and showers are located in separate shared spaces. Note that there are stairs to access different floors, so if you have mobility issues, it’s worth requesting a lower bunk or a more accessible room.
One thing to keep in mind: the hostel is located in a residential neighborhood that doesn’t have any food options within walking distance. It’s also a bit far from the city center, so you’ll likely need to take a tram, taxi, or Uber to get around.
On the plus side, the hostel has a large outdoor yard where guests can relax or enjoy a game of yard chess.
Overall, it's a great value if you're comfortable with hostels and are okay with using public transport. I’d definitely stay here again with proper planning."
"It is quite near to where we would like to go. The staff are wonderful, they allowed us early check in and late check out. And they can speak good English so communication was a breeze!
