"Property manager forgot to send code for key safe. Managed to get it indirectly by email but no easy contact was forthcoming thereafter. Street door lock cheap and worn. Next door to lobby broken and taped up. Lobby not been cleaned for weeks. Cheap lock on door to apartment. Security practically non existent. "I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks...

"A really comfortable weekend stay, easy walking distance to Hadrian’s Wall. The cottage is well equipped and dog friendly, the only downside was the adjacent Milecastle Inn isn’t doesn’t allow dogs inside. They do allow dogs in the beer garden which would be great in good weather but we visited in early March and it wasn’t sitting out weather. Haltwhistle is short drive away with dog friendly pubs, good Fish and Chips shops and supermarkets. "

"The flat was really lovely - well decorated and had lots of amenities. The kitchen was well equip if you wanted to cook, with a good seating area for 6 people. The beds were comfortable and lovely bedding. Access to the key was easy and location easy to find with free on street parking. The flat can be a tad noisy depending on who your neighbours are as the flat above is rented too. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend."

"Sara and Chris were the perfect hosts. They really made our break away something to remember. The Snug had everything we wanted and more besides. The Valentine treats were a lovely gesture and much enjoyed. My little girl slept on her rose petals every night! Everything was so thoughtful from the extra bird and squirrel food to the sliders for use in the hot tub, which we also loved. We loved the walk to the lake and had a delicious meal in the Coach House, but the highlight was our 'pet' red...

"We had a wonderful stay at Settlers lodge. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped! Loved seeing the squirrels around the garden! Set in a great area for walking and exploring. We enjoyed both the local pub and also a takeaway from the nearby pub. Both we would recommend. Cannot wait to come for a return visit . Thanks again!"

"We try and come to Otterburn once a year as we love the area. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with tableware amd cutlery. The veds were comfy abd the hot tub was amazing. The only thing that frustrated us was the induction hob, we have never used one before so took a lot of getting used to despite reading the instructions several times.will definitely be returning and will have hopefully mastered the use of an induction hob by then!"
